@PanamadesnewsExactly...I didn't have to read the entire article...it
seemed that this 2nd article was a little redundant and sort of back
tracking...the depth at this position should take care of itself. Wouldn't you
tend to agree???
C'mon Matt. Please hit the books and be proud of BYU's commitment to education.
We want to see you on the field in September.
Here's hoping the kid can qualify. It would be terrible to put in so much work
(both athletically and academically) and then not qualify to play your senior
To Where's Stockton???If you read all of the article, you would have noted
that what you said about "let's not plan on Putnam this year, and go on as
if he were not coming", is exactly what Bronco was quoted as to have said
in the article.
@FYI"In addition, there are at least 4 commentors to this
article that seem to be unable to let Utah go and comment frequently on Ute
articles.""All that is necessary for the triumph of evil
is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)I'll refute the
bigotry, the lies, the half truths, the inuendo as I see fit... and also have a
little fun along the way. Not a hater of the U of U, its fans, nor
it athletes, etc. Never have been, never will be. Quite the opposite of what we
see here on many of the BYU articles. So what's a 'real' fan? Someone
that let's all of this stuff get a 'bye' and says nothing?
"No run to the Y?" That really bums me out. McKay Jacobson won that
race last year and he became my favorite BYU player because of that victory.
Maybe next year hopefully?
Hope things work out for Matt. @Starfarer. You could substitute
Utah for BYU and cougars for utes in your comments and questions would still be
valid. There are haters and trolls on both sides that annoy and embarrass the
real fans. In additionm, there are at least 4 commentors to this article that
seem to be unable to let Utah go and comment frequently on Ute articles. Hopefully after a season of each school pursuing the direction that is
best for them, the haters and trolls will get bored with each other, just go
away, and let real fans have civil conversations about their respective schools.
This is sure bad news for mgr63. He was all but gleeful over the previous
article. A kid perhaps getting his academics straightend out is not something he
finds to be good news. I'm sorry some possible good news like this had to ruin
your Sunday morning mgr.
Matt you were one of my favorite players on defense last year! Get it together
and get back on the field!
I hope Matt can get his academic stuff in order. Good luck Matt!
I imagine that there was at least one ute article. (Never looked so I can't be
sure.)But, since I didn't read any articles for the last few days, I
was amazed at the number of ute trolls who cannot let BYU go.I don't
get it. I simply don't. Why do you hate BYU so bad? What do you
gain by trying to pull them down to your dismal abyss? Why not post support for
you team on your comment boards? There is something wrong with all of
you. Your like the boy in first grade who keeps pulling the hair of
the girl in front of them because they don;t understand the feelings they have
for her. I got news for you. It isn't hate....
Thanks Jeff for the knee jerk response to the trolling brought on with the
initial declaration of the previous article on Putnam. BYU's depth at that
position isn't lacking...nor is Putnam an entire critical piece of the overall
picture. If he makes it back to eligibility then great...he'll be a contributing
part of the momentum this season and the overall improving persona that this
team is definitely experiencing. Let's just let the chips fall where they may
and be done with it. It's better to just plan on Putnam not being there and to
concentrate on his replacement and another backup than to feed the utey trolls
which you have already accomplished.
I'd love to see Putnam back this year, but academics are more important than
football. It will be interesting to see where the coaches use Malosi
Te'o. I heard he wants to be a RB, but the coaches moved him to LB and that's
why he transferred. Now, with all the depth at LB, maybe they'll move him back
to RB? It's great to have him back at BYU. He looks like a very talented
That would be awesome. Good luck Matt!
