Of all these undrafted players, Zane has the most potential to make the
finalized roster. It was a shame he fell past 3rd round, let alone not going at
all. The Jets got a steal and I think they know it. Bill Callahan, the offensive
line coach in New York, was one of few actual position coaches (not just a
scout) to attend Utah's pro-day. The Jets have 3 outstanding starters on the
line, including Mangold at C, but as of now the other C's are as follows: a 2nd
year undrafted player out of UTEP and 2 other undrafted rookies from FCS
Monmouth and D-II Humboldt. The fact that Zane can probably play anywhere else
on the line is an asset teams look for as well. I've gotten to talk with Zane
several times and he's a great guy, can't wait to see you in Green and White.
Happy to be a Jets fan, but happier to be a Ute!
I used to like Zane Taylor. Seriously, Zane & Sione Pouha keep
me from totally loathing the jest.Go Dolphins!
This is great...fine athletes from the state...some good money being made. Some
good light shining our way.
Eric Weddle? became the richest safety in the NFL today. He signed a $40 M five
year contract. Even though I am a cougar, Weddle is a class act and done good!
@who am i sir? Maybe if the Deseret news did a better job in their
coverage of Aggie athletics they would have reported that Chris Randle a CB
signed with the Dallas Cowboys, Diondre Borel a QB signed with the Green Bay
Packers and Rajric Coleman a Safety with the Buffalo Bills. Just an FYI for
Utah 2 drafte + six invitedUtah State 1 draftedBYU 3
invited.Eight to 4 - seems about right especially to those who are
offering hundred's of thousands of dollars.Good luck to all.
It would be great to see all of them make these teams.
Here's hoping they all find success in the NFL!
Wow, 6 additional Utes from last season have been signed. I hope that they all
make the final rosters. I was just told that John Beck was turned
away by the security guard at Washington's Redskin Park when he went to meet
with Shanahan because he didn't recognize him. Funny story!!!Good
luck to all the former Athletes from the state of Utah.
