As a father, as a Christian, and as someone who has taught children at church for most of his adult life, I see the Harry Potter books as something that has taught parents and children to stand and fight for what is Right, to choose friends that they can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with when withstanding Evil, and to stand united as families. I think the Potter stories will be remembered for these reasons. We've read the Potter books as a family and we've not yet produced any witches, wizards, or devil worshippers. But we have produced children who beleive in helping other people and in buiding a better future for themselves and their community. God bless Ms Rowling for publishing such work.
