Think RSL is difficult to ignore right now? Wait until August/Fall and baseball is the only other professional sport out there because football and basketball players will still be on their extended vacation.
Should the lockouts both happen this could be a very important fall for soccer as it may be able to fill more and more empty TV slots and take up more entertainment dollars of the general public. It makes it important for the league to put on a good show.
(BTW - Last year MLS was in a player's union contract negotiation year. Instead of a lockout the league and players kept pushing back the date until there was an agreement.)
Hopefully Real SL can continue to make headlines as they seem to be righting the ship...after the CCL letdown. Should be a fun ride.
Oh yes you can. Have been since its inception and will continue to do so.
Go RSL!!! We're goin' all the way!!!
I used to think that even with the loss of the NFL and NBA seasons, I STILL wouldn't go watch an RSL game. But DUDE!!! - did you see that Women's quarterfinal game today? Best sporting moment in years. Maybe.... naw - I can't say it out loud.
Funny to me how Pipes says he is ignoring RSL but he comments on their articles. Feeling a little insecure Pipes?
Anyway it was such a good game last night. 18,000 fans and a great night for soccer. RSL seems to be back to their old "the team is the star" attitude again.
