The comment is so true -- They aren't missing, they are DEAD!Let the
abortionists excuse it away all day long. For the record, abortions
for rape, incest and the health of the mother make up less than 1% of all
abortions. Now, let's talk about the other 99% and why those girls
are killed each day.
Males and their male intellect have been a societal preference since the
beginning of time. Some progress for females.....but not enough. We see
this male preference in their domination of our modern religions, business,
government, and unfortunately, sometimes deadly dominance in many families. The female brain is different. Woman see the world and our society with
different eyes. This story is beyond tragic.
What this article ignores is all the "missing" girls from areas where
there are no ultrasounds to determine the gender of the fetus or from areas
where there is no abortion.Killing girls is nothing new - the
question is do you kill them quick and easy before they are born? Or do they
suffer for days, weeks, months, or possibly even years after they are born?I am not excusing the behavior of aborting a fetus because you would
prefer it be a different gender. What I am saying, is that abortion is not the
issue - the lack of value that women are given is the problem. And until that is
addressed, girl babies will cintinue to go "missing."
I like some things about Obama, but hopefully he didn't send any of our extra
money to fund abortions.
Liberals shouldn't be upset at this, after all for decades then have been
telling us abortion is a right!
It's utterly astounding that so many fetuses have had their lives ended in the
place that should be the safest of all: their mother's wombs. What a sad, sad
Sex selective abortions are no worse than any other abortion. Abortion puts us
on the slippery slope to killing the infirm, handicapped, elderly and so on. Are
we to think that if a woman chooses abortion as a method of birth control that
it is different than a husband sex selecting an unborn child for abortion?
As a liberal I will point out that I don't approve of abortion. But after
studying the subject it's impossible to prevent. Wommen have been causeing thier
own misscariges (abortion) since at least egyptian times. A simple herb tea can
cause an abortion that they use in India. How do you propose to make
it illegal and inforced? Will you investigate every misscariiage? Are you ready
to throw millions of women in jail? We'd all like to stop
abortion. But punitive measures are not the answer.
@Mountanman - Of course abortion is a right. What does that have to
do with the tragically sad practice of aborting strictly females in Asia? This is a de-valuation of the female problem, plain and simple. Until
attitudes change, this practice won't.
@ Christy. What give you or anyone else the right to kill another human being,
before they are born or not?
Feminists should be in an uproar. Are they? Females are not being allowed to be
born. Does mainstream feminism start at birth? What we see is a liberal
issue...abortion rights/pro-choice vs. the rights of females to exist upon this
planet in the first place.
The point isn't about abortion. That is a red herring. The point of the letter
was the fact that 160 million men will not have a women in their life. And
watch the social ramifications of that. Its happened, and continues to happen.
@ Mountanman: Can you kill something that is not alive? When life begins is a
philosophical question with many different answers. You don't get to force your
answer to that question onto me or anyone else.
@ Maudine. If you are trying to convince anyone that an unborn baby is not
alive, you are just kidding yourself! Isn't it ironic that the only people who
support abortion have already been born? Abortion is the ultimate act of
@ Mountanman: God breathed life into Adam - life begins with the first breath
and ends with the last - this is based on the Bible.
China and India need to pay couples to make use of avilable technology that
sepatates male sperms from frmale ones so they can choose to have girls. Many
would choose to do this if the choice were offered to them. This could help fix
