One of the most memorable times from my undergraduate studies was taking a Senior Seminar class on the Book of Mormon from Royal Skousan and being given access to old editions of the Book of Mormon in Special Collections room.
The BYU Special collections have many journal and latter collections, although not nearly as many as one would wish. Among others they have Benjamin Cluff's journal from when he was a student at the University of Michigan, in which he tells of the organization and functioning of a branch in Ann Arbor back in the early 1890s.
