They are by my standards. I really don't see any real difference between them and Msnbc aside from that partisan puppet show they put on.
More proof that conservatives are delusional.
Have they ever considered that when you are at the extreme end of a spectrum everyone else will look "liberal" by comparison?
This country has unquestionably been moving to the right over the last 30 years, and so has the mainstream media.
Fox news liberal? Why not?, from the perspective of the fringe right, all the media is, whether it is or not.
@GiantSquid
Have you ever considered that when you are at the extreme end of a spectrum, everyone else will look "conservative" (or delusional) by comparison?
I was attracted to the headline because I thought the author may have meant that in comparison to many of my fellow Utahns, Fox News might be considered liberal. I was thinking particularly about all the hardline anti-immigration rhetoric I have read in the comment forums lately. Heck, even the church, normally criticized for its conservative stances on moral issues, is considered liberal these days...even by many card-carrying members (I almost wrote, "card-carrying faithful," but to call them faithful, when they publicly question the stance of the prophet, is a stretch for me).
"Have you ever considered that when you are at the extreme end of a spectrum, everyone else will look "conservative" (or delusional) by comparison? "
This would only have any applicability whatsoever if I were an extremist.
It is indisputable that American "conservatives" are at the extreme end of the global political spectrum in rich countries. American "liberals" would be solidly in the center or even to the right.

"It is indisputable that American "conservatives" are at the extreme end of the global political spectrum in rich countries. American "liberals" would be solidly in the center or even to the right."
Indisputable? Yeah I'd dispute that as well as probably most Americans over the age of 40. Over my lifetime I have observed the decay of family values, vilification of Christianity, extravagant government spending, and promotion of immorality and decadence. In the 50's and 60's Socialism and Communism were dirty words. Now, not only is it accepted, it is embraced by prominent political figures.
What was mainstream 30 to 60 years ago would be considered far extreme right today. Maybe they were wrong back then, I don't know, but try to convince me that America is turning more Right with time. It just doesn't match the facts.
Fox News liberal?
No.
Just nauseating.
From an American 18th century perspective fox news . .. IS ... liberal . Slavery is not advocated. Women discuss politics as if it were their place to be involved public policy. Men who are insulted act as if there were no shame in not demanding a duel.
From a 21st century American perspective all this article has shown is that fox news is not extremist right wing. I would agree, however it is right of center.
The New York Times is ultra-conservative. So that would make Fox News ultra-uber-hyper conservative. See how silly this game is?
Rupert Murdoch owns fox news , as well as The Star a well known grocery store check out stand gossip rag..I do not know if mr.Murdoch would know the truth if it came up and bit him on the ankle !
@ idablu and others:
You seem to believe as many conservative members of the LDS Church who are inclined to think that, in essence, America has worsened progressively from the time the Constitution of the United States was ratified in terms of justice, individual freedoms and freedom of choice are concerned. Just the opposite of that of course is true.
As a devout Mormon myself, I and anyone acquainted with the history of The LDS Church are fully aware that its members were denied all such freedoms in Missouri, Ohio, and Illinois from whence they were forcefully expelled, even though such rights were Constitutionally guaranteed by the states and the Federal Government.
By the states' and the Federal Government's refusal to uphold said Constitutional rights, these government entities were effectual persecutors of Church members as much as the intolerant mobs who so effectively and violently deprived them of their Constitutional rights as citizens of such states and the country wherein they resided.
It is ludicrous to argue that we should somehow go back to the way it used to be in order to retrieve the lost freedoms that supposedly we are deprived of as citizens of this country today.
Fox News fills the need to fill the minds of the uneducated with non issues they can get worked up about.

Winner. Winner. Chicken Dinner.
@ Ernest T. Bass
Amen!
Wow. The deliberate spinning of facts here is amazing. Fox News "liberal"? Oy vey. Statistics have shown that the majority of American people are more liberal than conservative, yet the majority of government (meaning not just politicians, but all members of all branches) are conservative, especially in the enforcement sector.
America is so far to the Right it's almost laughable.
You know what you call an American liberal in the rest of the world? A conservative.
More proof conservatives are delusional indeed. Case in point Congressman Wiener. He sends some salacious photo's of himself to girls he's never met over the internet. Two weeks later he's forced out of office. Why? It's a media spectacle. Yet two recent Republican congressmen recently admitted to extramarital affairs, one with prostitutes, and the media doesn't say boo about it. One resigns because of ethics violations, the other is still in office. Double standard? Liberal media? Yea right! Media is biased towards what sells the most advertisements! Fox news is about as liberal as Utah!
When all Other Alphabet soup news groups are so far to the left and bias Fox may be right down the center when the others are 90 degrees to the left of center.

Obviously you haven't listened to the words Obama has spoken or you would agree that he truly is a racist.
Fox is simply fair and balanced. They allow other perspectives to be aired and debated. They have many libs on their shows. Heck they even have Gerraldo, no conservate. I think its always an uphill battle for conservatives and the founding fathers. But its a battle worth fighting for.
The left/right spectrum is a myth, a tactic to detract from the more pertinent debate: tyranny versus liberty. While Fox News is generally conservative, it fails to truly align itself with the pro-liberty camp. Its support of the military-industrial complex and the ever-growing police state stand out in my mind as to why that is so.
As Benjamin Franklin astutely noted, Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security. Sadly, many "conservatives" have abandoned the principles of liberty for the Fox News brand of security.
