This was a wonderful story and I'm so glad that I took the time to read it.
Thank you for printing it. It's a breath of fresh air. May God always smile upon this little hero and his family.
Beautiful story!
This is truly a miracle and I offer my prayers that this lad may beat the odds even further with many more years of life. It's inspiring to see that Mrs. Peterson and the family have obtained support from parents facing a similar challenge.
What a heart-warming story. As a parent who's buried an infant, our cemetery has a designated place for infants and small children and simply asked us to pay for the opening of the grave, less than $150 at the time. To save yourselvs more stress, you may want to check out some of the different options out there. It was painful but necessary and we had no warning, so take advantage of the lead time for yourselves. May the Lord bless and keep you, all.
This is a wonderful story and you do the best you can Aaron. When you don't make it in this life then you will be with your Heavenly Father. Keep up the good work. May our Heavenly Father and Jesus bless you and your family.
I have two healthy young children. As a single Mom, I struggle to feed and clothe them, let alone buy adequate health and life insurance. I'm sure lots of people are learning lessons from this boy who has such a strong will to live. I just wish some of the associated cost could be shared with children who have a brighter future.
Makes you appreciate every single moment you have with your kids.
Thank you for posting this article. It was nice to read this story as my own baby girl prepares to have surgery in 7 days. Heavenly Father does indeed know each of us and we are under his care.
Thanks for the story and sharing.
We have several handicapped children. One with a chromosome disorder similar but not as serious. Tetrasome 9P (She is Mosaic which means she is only partially affected). We are often told that they will not amount to anything much. But you know they do. They have done more than they ever expected. They have brought a special spirit to our home. They have taught our other children wonderful things. They have taught me that they are children of God. They teach many at their schools about blessings in life and service. Most have people have rallied to our help and understanding. Those that have not are missing out.
We also lost a downs baby boy at birth nearly 10 years ago. It was (is) very hard. My advice is to keep smiling as this life, as you know. is but a moment. We will get them again. Enjoy this special little boy while you can as you do not know when he may be called back. He is teaching people. I know as ours have taught our large family and friends.
Thanks for the story. Would have loved to be at your celebration.
Happy B-Day little guy!
One of the hardest things to ever hear as a parent is, "We are sorry but this baby is not normal, and won't be able to live outside of the womb." At 4 1/2 months of pregnacy the baby has a name and personality, you have dreams for them. I am so thrilled for these wonderful people, they got to meet this presious son of God and get to feel his heart beat and see his smile. Some of us never got the chance. What a glorious blessing for them.
