For the republicans: Nominate Huntsman -- he's the only decent candidate the Republicans have.
OR
Nominate Huntsman -- he's the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Obama. (Obama fears him so much that Obama tried to get rid of him by sending him to China.)
@Furry1993
Actually, a poll about a month ago shows that the Republican that would do best against Obama is Texas Rep. Ron Paul. Although you almost never hear his name mentioned as a 'serious' contender, he's in it to win it. Don't underestimate his support from anti-war liberals, small government conservatives, civil libertarians, and those fed up with lobbyists and corporations. While other candidates are bought and paid for, Ron Paul is not for sale. As long as we're talking slogans, here's one:
Ron Paul 2012: Give liberty a chance
@Richard
The RCP poll of polls average Obama leads Romney 7.3 and Paul 8.0. The rest are double digit obama leads (Pawlenty: 14.1 Palin: 19.5 Gingrich: 16.0 Bachmann: 18.3 Huntsman: 16.0). The thing is... Paul is not a serious contender because he has his niche base in the primary that are fiercely loyal to him, but nobody else in the republian primary likes him. It doesn't matter if he polls well against Obama (comparatively) if he's not winning the primary. Also half the reason Huntsman does so poorly against Obama is that a lot of the nation doesn't know who Huntsman is. Most everyone knows Romney and Paul.
All positive titles, but how about He'll make the economy better or leave mid-term for China. And, I guess Bachman is crazy, not as smart, because she believes in a balanced budget, is able to win as a Republican in Minnesota, or just because she ran a successful tax law practice with her husband. Or, maybe the authors are just bias because she is a woman!
Huntsman; Great hair, Dad's a billionaire, lots of flair, debonaire, no scary stare, doesn't have a prayer.
Re: Hellooo
Don't buy in to Bachman's rhetoric. She does support taxes and soaking the people. Look at her record - the small bills that she has supported - don't just look at the big issues.
For example, see her vote on the U.S. sugar program - a $4 billion dollar a year cost to consumers. A program straight out of Communist Russia, complete with price supports, import restrictions and Domestic production limits. Yet she is a strong advocate of it.
Well done article. I would suggest more like this one please.
I got a bit worried when I read the intro to the article this AM, but several times during my reading I had to gulp to keep from blowing coffee up through my nose while belly laughing!
Spot on political humor, kudos from a democrat who actually likes this republican, Go Jon!
@ independent liberal : of course you like this republican- of course that's why we don't
