How does not one Ute player make first team PAC-12?
Even UNM put one on the MWC team.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!! YES, BYU stomped Michigan? Michigan was 6-5 at the time, finished 6-6. Michigan was 5-4 in the Big 10 conference, ranked behind Ohio State, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa and Wisconsin. The award of the National Championship is something that I would boast about and hold my head extremely high. The system that was created, BCS, was partly because of this controversial championship. This same system is going to be the one that keeps BYU from EVER playing in that game again. Please..., your title is meaningless and this is well known outside of happy valley.

Who are you talking to?!!!
Nobody in the article or on the boards even mentioned the National Championship. So.... I guess the ONLY person here obsessed with that is YOU.
Wookie
Well ... SOMEBODY is taking a looong time to get over that. And it's not a BYU fan. Hmmmm.....
There, there now. Did the big ol' Cougars (who beat you all but twice in that 20 year stretch) get something you never have? Well, that and a Heisman, 1/2 the MWC championships, many other National Awards in all sorts of sports.... But, I'm sure you must be right: none of them REALLY counted. We even have the trophies to prove it.
Rock? No Majerus mention? Come on, you could have mixed in some Big Rick joke.
The poll question on bands names was very funny!
It is not a surprise that Phil Steel did not place any Utes on his 1st team. I think most prognosticators want to see how the Utes stack up before the Utes get some of this type of pub.
As far as Byu goes, they are touting pre season "all conference" honors between non conference teams? As long as the BYU athletic department is touting comparisons between teams with no conference, let me be the first to congradulate them on a projected finish 2nd or 3rd out of 4 independent teams.

I see you're fishing with a spinner today.

Dude, this is not a BYU/Utah thing. It is a Utah/PAC thing.
Get over BYU.
If other publications are giving Utah a shot at the South, how does Steele not give the Utes respect?
It's not "pub", it's respect.
my good old neighbor Brad buddy, have a good day. you can come over and me some question you might want to add on your next article IF I have one.
"Ten players from Utah, BYU invited to Costco warehouse Customer Appreciation Day."
A DN headline about BYU players (particularly Jimmer or Heaps) being invited to Costco, or anywhere else for that matter would certainly not be remarkable or unusual.
A DN headline about Utah players receiving such an invite would be unheard of and certainly remarkable.
