Good luck to all teams still playing in all the State Tournaments! This is the week to prove that you are the best! No one is automatically given a win, the team that is hot and has luck on their side will sometimes win and the teams that have talent and athletiscism will sometimes win. With that being said everyone has the chance to win and I, along with everyone else look forward to a terrific week of upsets, heart breaks, excitement, adrenaline rushes and pure happiness! This is what you have worked for since you were little kids, this is what you have worked so hard for! Good luck to everyone this week! Have the time of your life and make memories that will last you a lifetime!!

It will be tough to beat Bingham again. They simply have the best pitching in the state.

Hey Baseballer,

Pretty quiet ha! Haven't heard from you. The Jordan Beetdiggers excel in the classroom and on the field.

BinghamMiners-Well said. As parents and friends we should be watching, cheering and enjoying the moment but not forget that these are kids. Bingham and SF are the favorites but there are a lot of kids out there that have dreams which might just might not conincide with all the prognostigators.

Does anyone have a scouting report on Dixie?
Mountain Crest will clobber them tomorrow in the Semi's.
Mountain Crest has already taken down Springville and
Lehi(defending champs).

In 5A softball..... 5 of the 12 teams left in the state tournament are from Region 1. Roy should have no problem putting Riverton in the loser's bracket tomorrow. Two Region 1 teams will be knocked out tomorrow- by other Region 1 teams. Too bad that has to happen.

Region 3 also looks strong with 4 teams still in it. They will also be down to 3 after Bingham and West Jordan play tomorrow.

Region 2 will be down to one team after tomorrow. Murray looks legit, but the rest of the region is showing the lack of depth in that region.

Region 4 is showing how weak it was. Only 1 win out of 8 tournament games played. The only team to win a game and the only team left is Brighton who barely squeaked by the #4 team from Region 1 in extra innings on Saturday. They could be sent home for the season tomorrow by the #5 team from Region 1 if Layton plays like they are capable of playing.

Yep just as I said it would be, all region 1 & 3 teams plus Murray. I do think if Roy goes in with the attitude that they've already beat Riverton they are going to be quite surprised, they are much better then they've gotten credit for all year and right now they're playing the best they've played. Not saying they'll beat Roy but I don't see another run rule / shut out game happening. That Tville/Murray game is going to be a good one. Usually you can predict who's going to beat who but these 4 teams left in the winners bracket are all stacked with talent and all with different strengths and weaknesses. I can't wait to watch this week play out.
