Could we have another brighton v alta final? That would be awesome.

That's a shame. Copper Hills dominated that game. I wanted to see them go the whole way

Copper Hills dominated the game? Game stats tracked and compiled by Brighton statisticians showed that both teams were almost identical, e.g. shots, shots on frame, corner kicks, etc. That does not equate to "domination."

Copper Hills is a good team, and it will be fun to have them in Brighton's region next year. Strong region play tunes a team up for the state tournament.

I was at the game and hold no ties to either school, Copper Hills was by far the better team! they controlled possession.. had better chances and just plain looked superior!!
@laurels dont you think the brighton statisticians will be pro brighton? im guessing most of them have kids on the team and we all now a parent would never ever lie on a stat sheet to help their child.

@golfpro#8:

No I don't. Stats such as number of corner kicks, shots on goal, shots on frame, goalie saves, etc. are pretty straight forward with little subjectivity in the determination. I made a point to check with the people tracking the stats after the game because I was curious as to how close those numbers were. They were almost identical in all categories.

I, too, have no skin in the game. No kid on the team. No kids attending Brighton. I like soccer and thought it would be a good game. I disagree with your assessment of the game. I thought Copper Hills opted for the "boom the ball and hope the forwards beat the defenders" approach. This is not a bad approach given their undersized field. I thought Brighton did a better job controlling the ball and possessing it.

I did not see the preseason game Brighton and Copper Hills played this year. I believe Brighton won that game as well.

Brighton scored 3 goals against Copper Hills this year. Everyone of them but one was fluky. I watched them on tape. The first one was a fairly decent header in the pre season, then their second goal in pre season just happened to bounce around in the box and go in. Their goal they had in state was a total accident. There was no way he meant to score on a corner, you could see it in his face. Then Brighton did what they did best. Pack the defense and waste time.

Brighton haters are gonna hate but the fact remains that we are in the semi finals for the 3rd time in four years where we will we facing Murray with a vengeance for knocking us out in the quarterfinals last year. A soccer goal being a fluke? All goals are a fluke. It all depends on what the circumstances are, how fortunate the shot is, whether the goalie is able to adjust to the shot; it's all consistent with improbable odds. It's interesting that Brighton is able to come up with the most "fluke" shots year after year against these copper hills teams, because this is not the first time that the Bengals have beaten them in the playoffs.

All goals are flukes? Are you kidding me? How is a goal directly from a corner kick not a fluke? And the other goals Brighton scored against CH the last couple of seasons weren't fluky. However the goals this season they scored against CH were so fluky.
