A defining moment in this nation's history is rapidly approaching. Either we take a stand to protect our culture and our heritage or we will lose it.

It's a breeding war, just as was waged against the native populations of North America centuries ago. Don't bother with sending soldiers to take the land by force, that costs too much. Send over your civilians and bide your time. Eventually they will interbreed with and drive out the native population and you'll get the land with very little lost. Why do you think they speak Spanish in Central and South America to begin with?

cjb: "Same with the LDS, they didn't come into this state legally in 1847, yet LDS are among the best citizens the United States has."

Can you show a reference where the LDS came into Utah illegally?

Peoples across the history of the the world made excursions into other countries by force. How is that legal, you might ask? "To the victors go the spoils" is a universal rule which makes it legal.

Example: Romans, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danish and Norwegian warriors (Vikings) invaded the British Isles at various times. They looked for but saw no notice pinned on any door advising to stay out.

Nonsense, legality of immigration has nothing to do with the fact that a people will be of benefit to a nation.

What evidence do you have that the Pilgrams didn't violate Indian law when they settled where they did? Their decendents are the New Englanders, aren't they a good addition to our country.

Same with the LDS, they didn't come into this state legally in 1847, yet LDS are among the best citizens the United States has.

Many people now live on land that rightly belongs to Indians by treaty, which they went onto illegally.

@Pagan: "No one said anything when Columbus brought the pioneers and America went from a Native American land to a Caucasian dominated country."

The Indians said plenty. They were ignored and mostly too late. White man was already ensconced. The same situation exists now with invading Hispanics. Alotta folks are saying plenty about it but, like the Indians, it's almost too late.

Allow legal immigration only. Send all others home. It just isn't that hard to figure out. We know what to to, now let's do it. Enforce our current immigration laws.

'Visiting Pew researcher says U.S. will become a Hispanic nation' - Title

    And?

No one said anything when Columbus brough the pioneers and America went from a Native American land to a Caucasion dominated country.

Oh, but it was 'ok' then.

    Adapt or die.

It is the oldest lesson. From the dinasours, to the rail road to satalite, we need to adapt and WELCOME changes outside of our control.

And an estimaed 12 million illegal immigrants vs. 3-4 million US military says we already lost the battle when Ronald Regan offered amnesty in 1986.

Your lack of knowledge of Hispanic people and their culture is surpassed only by your blatant bigotry.

    RE: Another Perspective

You're partially right. Immigration is and always has been a benefit to this nation, but only when it's done LEGALLY. There is an optimal influx of immigrants, which is why the US allows a certain number of immigrants from nearly every nation, but if there are too many, we become overwhelmed. It's like drinking from a drinking fountain - there's a flow rate that is ideal. But today, we're drinking from a firehose.

And don't give me that tired old argument about the early European settlers being illegal immigrants: the Native Americans did not have immigration laws, so the European settlers weren't doing anything illegal.

I encourage all who want to come here to please come, but understand that you have to do it LEGALLY.

You sound like the chicken who went around the barn yard and declared to all the other farm anamials that the sky is falling. The glass is not half empty with immigration, it is full. Immigration is and always has been a benefit to this nation. It brings new energy it brings new life.

Different people bring different ways. Those traditions which are worth keeping survive and benefit the whole. Less valuable traditions die off.

I am optimistic about the future of our country.

Time to aggressively get the illegal immigrants out of the United States. We do this by vigorously enforcing our current immigration laws.

No more amnesty. In any form. Not now, and not at any time in the future.

If we must kick out our current politicians in order to get these illegal immigrants out of the country, so be it. Let the citizens of the United States realize that the only important war we must fight, is with the illegal immigrants. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. What do you think?

It's a crying shame that we have an elected government who is surrendering this United states to the country of Mexico without even one bullet being fired in self defense. It a shame and a tragedy that such a great nations will become the next Roman or Greek empire defeated by its own indifference and complacency and unwillingness of Americans to fight to save their own land.

The only good thing though, is the Mexican people think they will inherit the American culture, power, wealth, and government. Wrong. The US will become just an extension of Tijuana and any other Mexican border town. The mexican people don't have the culture or know how to build a nation like the United States so it will just become a sub-nation like the one they deserted.
