Congrats to both the Cougars and the Utes. I watched the second half of the BYU/Navy game and wasn't disappointed, this is one good team that is a serious contender for the championship. I'll be looking forward to seeing both games on ESPN this Saturday. Go Cougs! (and Utes)

Nice work lads. The state of Utah continues to produce great rugby teams at all levels...

hopefully BYU and Utah play again. How'd that go for you last time, Utes?

Wouldn't it be great if Utah played BYU at Rio Tinto on the 21st.

As a BYU rugby fan, I hope that Utah beats Cal. It would be a blast to have the championship come down to BYU vs Utah. An all State of Utah final would be quite a complement to rugby in this state and create a spinoff craze that might get more of our kids started early in the sport.

On the other hand I would love to see BYU beat Cal again.

I was at the BYU/Navy match on Saturday. Great win by the Cougs in front of a large home crowd. It would be great to see BYU beat down the Utes at Rio Tinto!

Wow, about time the rugby championship is played somewhere other than Stanford, less than a 1 hour drive from Cal's campus.

It makes sense to have it in Utah as two of the teams consistently making it tot the semis are from this state. It is also more centralized for other teams like Navy, Penn State, etc.

Good Luck to BYU and Utah, that would be a great final in Rio Tinto.

BYU will play Cal, no doubt about it. They are the premier teams this year, like every year.

Good luck to both teams. It would be awesome to have a BYU/Utah rematch at Rio Tinto for the National Title covered by ESPN!!

i'd love to see a byu/utah championship as well but the utes have to beat a tough cal team that already beat us up 35-0 earlier this year. cal's won something like 25 of the last 27 national rugby championships. i think byu is the most complete rugby team in the country this year. i was looking up stats the other day and read that their average margin of victory was something like 75 points, it was rediculous. anyway, i'd like to see my utes pull it out but cal rugby is the golden standard here in the states and i just think they have a better team. i've seen both cal and byu play this year and byu has more size, more speed, and more athleticism. i think this is byu's year.

Congrats to Highland High's north and south collegiate programs.

It is just nice to see things starting to work out. If BYU, Utah, the service academies, and others keep improving, Cal will begin to find it difficult to keep that aweful chip on their shoulder.

More importantly, the Eagles will begin to have a deeper talent pool to work with. We may never be a perennial top tier international team but, just maybe we can start climbing out of the cellar!!!

I too would love to see Utah beat Cal so we could crush them in the championship game. No love for the Bears, & nothing better than seeing BYU humiliate Utah in whatever arena.

WA_Alum&Dad: as if we Ute fans really care. I don't even know how score is kept in the game. It ranks up there with golf and women's tennis to me and most other Utah fans.

WA_Alum&Dad,

Not paying much attention to President Uchtdorf now, are you?
