The vetting process has become too complicated and absurd. The backlog is insane. And will the Senate allow a vote on the nomination? A fair question as the GOP has held up about 80% of the business.
McCoy would be a very poor choice for many reasons. McConkie would be fine. Typical of the Democrats to blame Hatch. My guess is that Hatch had someone in mind right off the bad that the President won't respond to.
How long did it take Senator Hatch to approve an appointed to the 9th District Court? Would you believe 4 1/2 years?

"McCoy would be a very poor choice for many reasons"? Because he does not hold your political views or because he is a democrat.....? why exactly? if you are going to cast aspersions try providing some reasonable arguments as well.
Even if President Obama appoints someone, it's highly unlikely that the person would be confirmed given the stonewalling and nay-saying the Republicans have been doing since 2006. The country deserves better.
