Boom! It's payday, Jimmer.

glad he didn't choose Dan Fegan :)

sounds like that decision was almost a no-brainer. Is he being represented by two different agents because one will focus on his NBA contracts and the other will focus on endorsements?

I'll be honest here, as much as I have enjoyed the entire Jimmermania I really couldn't care less about this "news". I don't see how this matters to anyone outside of the Fredette family.

Dear duckhunter:
You cared enough to read it. --- Maybe you didn't see the headline.

Duckhunter

I did read it but then wondered why. Probably because it was there. But answer honestly pete do you really care what agent any athlete signs with? I hadn't given it much thought until I read that article and then I thought to myself "so what"?

I'm not making a statement about Jimmer here it is more a statement about what is considered to be news these days. Surely this is one of the less interesting peices of news out there.

I'll tell you why it's such a big deal...because it isn't that often that a player from BYU gets this much attention. Before you BYU do-gooders jump all over me, I'm not criticizing this, I think it's a good thing, but that is the reason this article with this non-issue topic was written.

"...is also a Octagon client." Do you lack a grammar checker?

Is this the same group that Heaps works with?

What would be cool is if Jimmer fought in the Ocatgon! Jimmer is going to be a MMA star!

Nice try.

Come on now. Why do so many of you think that we only receive "news" in our daily reading? Sometimes it's just plain old information... that's what this story was. I couldn't care less who he picked as an agent but sometimes it's just interesting to read about the process. Relax.

Good luck to Jimmer. Can't wait to see where the unanimous POY gets to play next year.

It is "Big News" for those of you that live in Utah because Jimmer is one of the greatest athletes to ever go to Utah to play basketball and one of the most successful and decorated athletes to ever come out of a University located in Utah. He will be an NBA star and picking the right agent was as important as anything else he will do to prepare for his career. Look at what he has done for BYU and the state of Utah. I think at this point anything related to Jimmer's future is "Big News" as it is for us folks located across the Country in Glens Falls where he is from. He has done a lot for our community even though he is in Utah, I can't imagine the impact his success has had on BYU and Utah. You should read anything with his name, support him and follow his every move. You owe him that much.

Mattered so little that Duckhunter has commented twice....Go Jimmer!!!!

It's all about readers.
There are many, myself included, who read all things Jimmer.

To Killerbees: "You should read anything with his name, support him and follow his every move. You owe him that much."
Why in the world would I owe Jimmer anything? Wow, what a statement!

killerbees has it right - Jimmer's agent search (and selection) is indeed news to all of us who enjoy the vicarious thrill of following Jimmer's storied career (past, present, and future).

It's an especially big deal to the sports agents involved. :-)

Well it seems several of you do find this of interest. I still don't but I stand corrected anyway.

In Arizona~ The comment was meant for folks who reside in Utah (go back and read it), However, if you ever got to watch Jimmer torch Arizona in person then you to owe him for the entertainment! HA! We here in Glens Falls owe Jimmer as well. He has brought a lot of joy and excitment to the area. In addition~ the BYU vs Vermont game brought a lot of attention and sold a lot of tickets/generated alot of money for the area. Jimmers hometown has gotten a lot of attention during his climb to POY and will continue to. Same with BYU, when have they ever been so relevant, 30 years ago when Ainge played? People take these young athletes for granted, they make $ on their names and success. Bottom line, Jimmer kept everyone on the edge of their seats all year (and he filled a lot of seats) he will have success and live a comfortable life because of this hard work, but we owe Jimmer, especially anyone who made a dollar off his name. Octagon has an opportunity to get Jimmer what he's worth!
