Books are a great idea for Mother's Day: they don't make us sneeze, nor do they make us fat.
Be sure you know your wife/mom/sister, though. Some of us are more in need of an intellectual boost than another "feel good" boost. None of the listed titles appeal to me.
I'd rather have:
The Life and Teachings of the New Testament Apostles: From the Day of Pentecost to the Apocalypse by Richard Neitzel Holzapfel, Thomas A. Wayment
The Eternal Christ by Truman G. Madsen
Revelation, Reason, and Faith: Essays in Honor of Truman G. Madsen by Daniel C. Peterson (Editor), Donald W. Parry (Editor), Stephen D. Ricks (Editor)
The Sermon on the Mount in Latter-day Scripture: The 39th Annual BYU Sidney B. Sperry Symposium by Gaye Strathearn (Editor), Thomas A. Wayment (Editor), Daniel L. Belnap (Editor)
