Wingert, you did not let anybody down. You guys gave us a great game tonight. Unfortunately, we did not get the result that we wanted, but we are proud of all of you. Unfortunately, I will miss my first game in a couple of years on the 7th, as I will be in Boise, but I will be cheering loud watching the game online.
You guys gave it all you had, the ball just wouldn't go in. Lets get it behind us and get back on track in MLS play against Portland this weekend.
We are still behind RSL.
Great game, tough loss. RSL had their chances. I would say they had more quality chances than Monterrey. They just have to finish those headers. Back to the MSL season. So close.
Now Portland can feel the rath of the pain we have felt tonight.
@bigsoccer
Agreed nothing will make the pain of this loss go away better than a win on the road this weekend.
I'll always be behind this team win or lose.
RSL has done phenomenal the past two years, quite arguably the best American club ever assembled.
But, MAN, what a bitter, heartbreaking loss. Have to give Monterrey credit, but we lost it more than they won it. Historic opportunity lost, what a shame, esp to lose to that type of goal.
