i'll give BYU some credit, at least the Michigan team they beat was 6-5
So the lDsNews is going with a team that had to came from behind to beat a 5th place BIG10 team ... in a mid December bowl? Pretty sad.
Hopefully RSL takes care of business.
Biggest game in Utah history tomorrow night. It's like Christmas eve.
Utah did more against better teams in both BCS runs than BYU did in 1984. You do not "win" a national championship in division 1 football you are appointed. By the way, did Michigan know they were playing in the "national championship" game?
Yup, looking at the snow outside, it even looks like Christmas Eve! I can't hardly wait!
An RSL qualification into the club World Cup will be a top 10 accomplishment. Winning the tournament would rank #1.
RLS qualifying may not matter to the average sports fan in Pittsburg, but it will put Salt Lake on the world-wide sports map. Fans from London to Sao Paulo would notice this accomplishment.
It will be nice if they make it. But I believe the average sports fan in Utah is way more interested in how the Jazz, Utes, Cougars and Aggies are doing rather than RSL. Although this comes at a good time since there is not much else going on locally. Personally I am more interested in how the Bees are doing than RSL (if the Bees won the PCL I would be more interested than RSL winning MLS).
@Softball Dad
Yes it would be a bigger deal if Utah or the Jazz were playing in a championship. Well the bees? not even close. The bees stadium can't even hold enough people for the average attendance RSL game.
See you tomorrow RSL fans.
20,000 strong its gonna be an amazing atmosphere.
I would rate concacaf champions league winners in the top 5. Fifa club world cup winners in the top 2 or 3.
RSL would be playing the most valuable sports franchise in the world if MUFC makes it the the CWC.
It's soccer, who cares? Sorry, but this doesn't mean anything to me, or anyone in my family. Again, it's soccer.
