Tressel should be fined and fired; and the players kicked off the team and out of school. The NCAA needs to clean this up with a heavy hand.
And the punishment for Cam Newton and Auburn is...
President E. Gordon Gee should be sentenced to Michael Young's vacant job, and Jim Tressel should be sentenced to be the U of U's official NCAA "culture of compliance" officer for their unwavering commitment to upholding "BCS values."
As an alumnus of The Ohio State University, I have always liked Tressell and what he stood for with the university. However, he has lied to the NCAA, his bosses, and the athletes and fans/alums of the university. It is time for him to go.
How many of us could get our bosses to go on national TV and say that we just learned something about when all along you knew about this matter 7 months before?
Also, Gee should go, but the U of U does not want him. Gee should go just because of the way he tries to run the university.
It would have been helpful to readers if Rusty Miller had taken and English composition class sometime while pursuing his journalism degree.
(That is, if he actually acquired one.)
