Kreis should watch the video of the Beckerman yellow card foul. It was a good call. Beckerman did not get the ball and came in late and drilled the Monterrey player's foot when the Monterrey guy was in a vulnerable position.
That was an impressive result for RSL. They can get the result they need next week even without Beckerman.
The yellow card rule is so stupid in Soccer. I would be ok with it if after the match they can be looked at and changed if it was not warranted.
Was not a good yellow, especially after when that guy grabbed Sabo's face, that is suppose to be an automatic red card.
The guys looked very tired for a about 20 minutes in the second half, but RSL took possession again in the final 10 minutes and got the goal.
Don't agree Caleb. Watch the slow-mo again. There was some contact and Beckerman went in hard by he let up before contact. He did not follow through and the guy obviously wasn't hurt in any way. Tough call but a bad call. Foul yes, yellow no.
Soccer is only sport were a player can get suspended for no reason. It makes no sense to me that they can't review yellow and red cards after a match to see if it warrants a suspension.
Can you imagine if Payton Manning was suspended for a playoff game because the referee made a bad call?
I like soccer, but it has to be the most poorly officiated team sport on the planet.
I agree with IDC. His laces were down as well, the boot was not up. It was a 50-50. As the commentators said the ref was bated by the fans.
Yep it was a foul but there was no intent or danger. Cleats up and it would have been a yellow but beckerman did a good job keeping his toe pointed toward the ground and he accidentally made contact with the other player. It looked a lot worse in normal motion than it did in slow mo.
