seriously though....when is the ncaa going to cancel your football program? Sheesh, you guys have never put out a good product when it comes to football. I mean when was the last time you guys went to a bowl game? sad, very sad.

I sure like Alex Hart at qb, if they are even give the job to the freshmen and let him develop.

I'm with you plyxply. When they brought Adam Kennedy in, they were expecting him to take charge and had a lot of hype. Well it shows that Hart worked his tail off on the practice squad for his red shirt and kept working hard this whole off season. Every scrimmage I have seen and all these articles keep stating they are pretty even. The 2 dropped TD passes yesterday were both thrown by Hart as well. Let's start the younger guy and develope him now instead of waiting. With Turbin back we will be running quite a bit more than throwing, let's get the Hart in and get the experience now with a strong running team.
Go Aggies!

I am beginning the jump on the Hart bandwagon. With Turbin and a stacked backfield start the young guy and let him develop into a signal caller the Aggies can depend on in years to come. Can't wait for the spring game this Saturday!

@nunya...You have no idea what you are talking about! You obviously don't no much about bad streaks in the world of sports. Also you would have to watch the new team to even know anything...We are stacked at running back that will crush tackles and the defense looks pretty promising for this coming season as well. I think that Turbin and Marshall will be be contributors and Hart will most likely start. GO AGGIES!!!

I still am not convinced by Hart. Let's see how it goes Saturday. Most of my contacts say Hart is close but still on the outside looking in. If they can develop the run game a little better it will help the passing game of both the QB's and help the better man emerge.

I disagree that giving the reigns to a freshman QB and "let him develop" is the right answer. Bad choice of words. If you haven't noticed, it's about now and having a winning year NOW! USU isn't the perennial powerhouse that can afford to let someone develop and have 2 more subpar years. This staff is working overtime to win and be successful now. Kennedy may be a better option since he has played many more games at the faster than High School speed in the last 2 years than Hart. At least he has a proven record. If we get into the season and are 2-5, then the youth movement needs to happen. Play the better QB for now (whoever it is) but don't do it to develop someone for the future. The future is now.

oldtimeftballer...Good point. The best QB right now should definitely get the start. It will be fun to see how they fair this Saturday.

@ trueblueaggie....yeah, I'll think about that when you're losing every game this year. Did you really say BAD STREAKS? Um, what usu football is, is not a streak. Seriously, below 500 99.9% does not make a streak. I guarantee you, your basketball team pays for everything. Whereas every other school, it's the football team that does that. Hey but good luck with your running backs. :)

@nunya...Every game? Looks like you are too optimistic about that. Oh and where as every other team uses twice as much for their sports? We use less and get more. Besides the season hasn't started so nobody can really say much about it at all.

um what's more to say...it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Your football teams history for the last...heck, 30 or so years say it all. Now if USU were 500 or above for at least 10 of those years then yes...possible they would do it again....but NO, not even 2 years straight at 500 or above. With USU, you can't say "besides the season hasn't started so nobody can really say much about it at all". History shows that it doesn't matter from the start.
