Iowa State might be a factor in a couple of years. Korie Lucious was one of the best players Izzo ever brought to East Lansing.
This can't be!
Will would rather play for Iowa State, which finished dead last in the Big 12, than play for the mighty PAC 12 Utes?
Clyburn said ISU is a real contender. Iowa St. was 3-13 in the big 12. What a powerhouse!
This is getting pretty bad. We'll see what Krystowiak has up his sleeve, but I anticipate the Utah job being a long-term project. You can't have the kind of turnover last year and then yet again this year, particularly when it's your best players (Brown, Henderson, Clyburn, O'Brien) and expect the ship to right itself anytime soon. Hopefully stability comes again and the program can get up and running, but this doesn't bode well for Utah basketball in the next few years, especially considering the Pac-12 looks to be rebounding somewhat in basketball with Arizona, UCLA, and Washington finally starting to re-establish themselves a bit
Hedgie...where are your loyaties??? You utey's just lost the guy. Your best player... It's like a funeral dude. Marcus Antony would say. We have come to bury Clyburn not praise him...because he ran out on you in your worst time of need.
utah will have no trouble in replacing clyburn. we will get plenty of players now we are in the pac 12
@bookonwomn. For Clyburn 3-13 isn't that bad considering what he just endured.
Not a good way to enter the Pac 12, football is failing, basketball has failed, the track team...no track team, baseball, average or worse in the MWC, will get cleaned in PAC 12, swimming won't be able to compete, their is only one bright spot...gymnastics. Utah has been leveled across the board and enters their new league whimpering.
Going, going, GONE! ... and Iowa State at that. Ouch!
Time to move on. Clyburn did. Hope the carnage ends soon.
Hedgie way to look on the positive side of things for once! However, Let the train wreck continue to roll to the bottom of the pac 12!
I wonder when we'll learn where O'Brien is going?
Oregon State (11 - 20) must be thrilled that the Utes are joining the PAC.
I guess Clyburg doesn't care to travel to and play in Los Angeles, San Franciso, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix. He'd rather travel to Ames, Stillwater, Norman, Lubbock and Manhatten ---- Kansas. Oh well, at least he's closer to home.
I guess the "open relationship" solution wasn't so effective after all. They usually aren't (or so I hear).
Yes, indeed. Players will come flocking out of the woodwork to now play for the Utes - the soon-to-be-dominant program in the Pac-10'ish. I'm sure San Diego is even quivering in fear.
