IMO... The real question isn't what will Glenn Beck do next... he will obviously do what he's been doing (on CNN and then FoxNews)... just somewhere else.

===

The big question should be... what will FoxNews do Next???

They just lost their highest rated show... with no replacement in sight. The question should be... What will FoxNews do next?

-Will they replace Glenn Beck with another Glenn Beck?

-Will they see the light and hire Keith Olbermann to fill the spot?

What will FOX do next... seems to be the much more interesting question to me.

Charlie Sheen like appearances and rants, followed by the same rhetoric about being too real for the MSM.

For real entertainment there's a web site quote test of "Who said it...Glenn, Charlie or Gaddafi" it's a hard test, the similarities are uncanny.

I had stopped watching Beck, I really like him, but just seemed to be the same old thing every day. I would however be very interested in watching specials done by him. He really has a lot of great information, but it is heavy and day after day, gets kind of tiring. I also think with his eye issue, it will be easier on him not to have to do the daily show. I wish him luck and am curious to see what they put in that slot.

Hey, Glen, try not to let the door hit your behind on your way out. Not a day too late...

Oh boy, here we go. Let the hate speech begin.

As a life long traditional conservative, I have never been fond of this guy. I enjoy the more independent thinking of Michael Savage. Beck's ratings are faltering because of his dogma, whereas maverick thoughtful conservatives like Savage are exciting, interesting and totally passionate.

The less of Glenn Beck, the better. I think he casts a negative light on LDS members, not because he represents their beliefs but rather because he is an influential member of the media who happens to be mormon and many people recognizd him as such. His extremist views do not represent the typical LDS member's views in my opinion.

We need more public figures like Huntsman, more moderate sensible individuals, being scrutinized by the public as "representatives" of the LDS religion in the media's eyes.

You cannot chase away over 300 advertisers and slip badly in the ratings without consequences. His audience will continue to shrink until only the hard core conspiracy theorists remain and then he will disappear in Boca Raton or some other enclave of the rich to await the second coming of Christ in beatific splendor funded by all the people he duped into believing his vacuous and paranoid fantasies.

He just lost his job belching cow, or has he got another place to voice his hate speech?

That menacing picture - with his finger pointed at me - as if to say "you're next!" The guy is terrifying.

Where is the Daily Show going to get its material now??

Maybe FoxNews could hire George Soros to fill Beck's spot... or use his $$$millions to hire more staff to write for the replacement show.

Or... they could just stream MSNBC stories, or MoveOn or Huffington Post stories for that hour... it may get a lot of viewers and advertisers??? I know GE would be a BIG supporter! Maybe they could get Walmart and Coca-Cola back advertising in that hour?

If that's all it's about... why not?

Extremism is ugly. Beck takes ugly to the next level.

I would just like to know how Glenn Beck is off the air and Howard Stern remains. If we're going to toss out trash, lets start with the dirty stuff.

Furry1993,

Why do you assume (or HOPE) that Glenn_Beck will fall off the edge of the earth into obscurity... just because he's not on FOX???

Hints...
He was doing the same thing BEFORE going to Fox,
He had good ratings on CNN when he was there,
He had the highest ratings on Fox when he was there,
He currently has the 3rd most watched daily news series on cable TV...
So WHY... would he suddenly fall into obscurity??? Just because he's not on FOX???

Do you REALLY give FOX that much power???

===

Currently FOX is the most watched cable news channel. I wonder if they will be in that same position next year.

I seriously doubt Beck is going to fall into obscurity, just because he's not on FOX daily.

FOX didn't make Beck. I think he will go on.

George Soros may have won THIS BATTLE... but I doubt Beck will just disappear because he's not on Fox daily.

===

One GOOD thing is... the MSM is already starting to cover some of the same stories only Beck reported on before. Maybe we don't NEED him anymore!

I think some one needs to tell Chaffetz that Beck is only about entertainment and if he needs to find a fill in for his TV viewing I suggest a suitable alternate would be Sponge Bob.

Got to love all the Beck haters here. Keep up all the negative comments, it keeps making him more and more popular and here's why. Anyone who hasn't heard him on the radio or TV and formed an opinion on him yet is going to be more interested in hearing all the "hate speach" for themselves after listening to one of your rants. After all, we Americans love controversy and you are promoting controversy. When people do listen to him for the first time they immediately notice that nothing you've said is true and that they actually agree with him on a lot of issues. If they didn't then he would just fade into obscurity.

I think this will end up being a good move for Beck and Fox. His show would be better as a regular special and it will give him more time to pursue other ventures that will have liberals ... their pants a year from now. I predict we're going to see some real investigative reporting exposing all sorts of corruption.

I don't get why hard core republicans are obsessed with right wing propagandists. Surely they must recognize that it is indeed propaganda, right? Does anyone actually believe people like Glen Beck are journalists or insightful unbiased political annalists?

The reason why Chaffetz loves Glenn Beck so much is because Mr. Beck could convince republican voters that the sky will turn green and that it's the democrats fault.

I'm sorry but anyone who listens to Glen Beck, or Rush Limbaugh, or Michael Moore is a tool. Another word for a propagandist is a deceiver. For those of you who read the scriptures you can probably guess where I'm going with this.
