So, 1st they want to shut down the goverment.

'When Republicans were a Senate minority in 1991-1992, there were 59 cloture (filibuster) filings. When President Clinton took office, with Republicans remaining the minority in the Senate, that number shot up to 80 in 1993-1994.

When Democrats reclaimed the Senate majority in the 2006 midterm elections, cloture filings shot up from 68 in 2005-2006 to a record 139 in 2007-2008.'

And I seek one-week for them to-fix-this also GOP. The Patriot Act's money laundering provisions, where are they today?. The tobacco industry feared The Patriot Act so Rep. Michael Oxley removed a provision involving money laundering from the bill at the behest of the White House and GOP whip Tom DeLay, under pressure from Big Tobacco. More loopholes that allow qualifying Institutions to still serve as conduits for Tax Evasion that report nothing to the IRS for collection. Is this fair taxing to the poor and middleclass ?. It's called money, greed, corruption, above the law, (ignore us common people unless they need your votes), career politician's who will take money from any special interest and say or do anything to keep his hold on power. It's secret government by the insiders, for the insiders only today. That's for BIG BUSINESS "ONLY" and their deep pocket's. The underlying dynamic is bought-off congressmen ignoring real social problems and using the legislative process to construct massive perpetual handouts for their campaign-contributor sponsors. WHO IN CONGRESS wrote a amendment to add this "BACK" into The Patriot Act to date?. You tell me.

"DITTOS" - GOP prepares 1-week extension as shutdown looms, BUT, that's "NOT GOOD ENOUGH". What is President Obama and Fed Chief Ben Bernanke are up to. The White House and Ben Bernanke like to tout the "recovery," but in reality, inflation on energy, food, and other everyday items is outpacing wage growth by a measure of 4.38 to 1. So, for every additional $1 you are making thanks to this "recovery," you are actually spending $4.38 extra at the store and the gas pump. I don't call that a recovery. Plus, we keep hearing of unemployment levels dropping. But that's just because our underemployment levels are at a historic high. The underemployed are the faithful citizens who will take any job to pay the bills, even if it is only a few hours a week for a fraction of what they were once compensated. I don't call that a recovery either. What Obama, Bernanke, and the Democrats don't want to admit is that we have a 1970s-style crisis on our hands now. But it actually may get worse. America's economy could drop even further into a second Great Depression.

"Double-DITTOS" WAKE UP AMERICA. The GOP is painting a picture in "YOUR" minds, to vote for them come 2012. Sen. Charles Grassley says that President Barack Obama wants the United States to be a "second-class nation" and that is the overriding reason he does not deserve to be re-elected. Like always, he misread the results of their election. And they forgot what the people want in this country. "STOP PLAYING GAMES GOP". It proves that people who spend too much time in Washington, D.C., don't know what's going on in the rest of the country. Washington, D.C., is an island surrounded by reality. But once in a while, common sense floats through to Washington, and this is one of the instances that proves that common sense [can] win out in Washington. I hope it gives hope to people that eventually elections and grassroots public opinion filters through to Washington, gives the people of this country encouragement to keep the pressure on their members of Congress. The CEO of Starbucks announced his intention to expand the coffee shop into a grocery business. I can't wait to buy a $4 tomato

If you want to see the US reduce it's spending and debt, you better vote for democrats because it's the ONLY time republicans actually care about spending and debt.

The US faces the real possibility that the dollar will no longer be the world reserve currency and inflation will take hold. Right now and for the last 2 decades we have been printing money to cover our expenses and debt. Effectively we have put the burden of those expenses on EVERYONE worldwide that holds dollars by devaluing the dollar. Eveybody else is getting sick of it and is about to stop dealing in dollars. Then we will be like everyone else.

Pull back the military now. We won't solve this by cutting off seniors. SS and MC didn't cause the problem, overspending on military and non-esential programs did. SS and MC have been robbed to pay for other programs.

Vote democrat or anything other that drunken spending republicans that drove us here. Clinton was the last era of decreased spending and balanced budgets.

There is one consensus. The gridlock is over ideology. I hope they enumerate, item by item, what the specific areas are. Don't lump planned parenthood in with pell grants for example. Let the American people air their concerns on specifics for a change.

Reply: OH I FULLY AGREE with you here. But those Liberal's love a mass panic, while the GOP goes along with them because they are all RINO's. After an all-night negotiating session, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that he is "not nearly as optimistic" as he was last night about avoiding a government shutdown before a Friday deadline, with "Kaleidoscope Wishes" saying of a federal funding gap "it looks like it's headed in that direction." All while his buddy Prince Harry gets an extra day for his Arctic trek.

Come 2012

FIRE THEM ALL. The gridlock is over ideology.

That's my views, because, I tell it like it is, because, no one else will in here.

Say hey to David Letterman for me to.
