Byronbca, that is the way they live Soccer. Most of the stadiums down there have
the same passion for their home team. Bags with urine is an every game way to
put pressure on the visitor teams.Coming from a town where Soccer is
passion I can imagine the enviroment they will face tonight. Don't forget we
went to Mexico City and we were up 4-1 against one of the best teams in Mexico,
Cruz Azul. Our players know what they will face and if we were able to score 4
times against the Mexicans I'm sure we will score at least twice against the
ticos. I'm sure the score will be RSL 2-1 Saprissa. Espindola and Sabo! Go RSL!
If we can go in and score a goal I think we will survive. If we score we can
lose 3-1 and still advance. Just get that goal and possess and we're good.
If the game is officiated fairly, RSL should have the advantage. As we saw in
the world cup, most countries do not like the USA or her teams and officiating
can be very questionable.
I've also heard of a US national team player getting hit with a bag of urine in
Costa Rica. If something like that happens this time there should be future
repercussions for Costa Rican fans, like an empty stadium during their next
CONCACAF match up. Players shouldn't have to put up with getting
sprayed with mace and batteries before a game by fans.
Big game. Go RSL!
