4A poll looks like the five best teams. I think SF at #1 is fairly cut and dried at this point. After that the order could be done by putting the other four names in a hat. It would be fun to see a list of "other receiving votes" like they show in the college polls. I would think Uintah, Box Elder, would have some votes. Provo is leading that region so maybe some votes for them.
I agree with the polls. Spanish Fork will be a tough team to beat in 4A. Tooele will have a couple of tough games in Stanbury with a good pitching and hitting, and Bountiful with good short game, good pitching, and all around hitting as well. I believe it could go either way with these teams. I believe in 5A Roy is defintiely the team to beat with Flint as pitcher, but Murray is a close second, they have alot of talent, I give Taylorsville 3, Copperhills 4 Bingham, and 5th Riverton...With the pitching mount being moved back this has definitely given the batters an advantage and defense more to handle. Good pitchers will pitch and get the ball in play, but defense has to be ready.
If the 3A poll is correct their isn't much there this year. I have seen Bear River and they are down from where they have been and yet their #1? Havn't seen Grantsville but just on records they look to be the class of this class.
wow, we're all on board... looking good as picked. Nice job. reading these post have made them much better at picking and ranking, keep it up.
In the region standings, it shows Fremont with only 2 loses but when you open up their schedule it shows they lost to Weber, Davis and Syracuse, how accurate are these won lose records. And do they affect the rankings?
