It is refreshing to see a politician who says it the way he sees it. Why I'd even go so far as to suggest that he isn't politically correct, and would'd call that cast iron lid in the street a "manhole cover" and not a "person hole cover".

The Governor is not arrogant: he is ignorant. Mega-ignorant. I guess it takes all kinds to run this great nation, but ... please. Maine you are going to have to do better than this. Next election, eh.

How long has he secretly held these beliefs? Talk about a one-termer.

I can't speak for Mainers, but I think Rifleman has confused the governor's bullying everyone's favorite bogeyman - "political correctness" - with actual bravery. It's hard to see how picking fights with state-owned works of art is any help to anyone.

The embodyment of Rush Limbaugh in public office.

So he pretty much won an election and tells the half of the state that didn't vote for him to "kiss his whatever".

Nice, now that's democratic. We need a foreign army to come here to spread democracy. Mabey the Canadians will oblige someday.

I'm sorry, you publish a story about this guy speaking his mind, mostly about people of color and women, yet censor my comment that he is a white male? I find the so funny and very ironic. Makes one wonder who is doing the censoring! I imagine you won't let this one on, either!
