South Sevier took the State Championship and has zero all-stars? I realize the state MVP Parsons is a sophomore and therefore ineligible but how about another starter from that team?
What about the Wright kid from Juab? He was one of the better point guards in 3A.
Intermountain Christian goes 10-0 in Region 17 and finishes in 4th place and only places 1 person on the 1A north team whereas Mt Vernon, who won 3 games all year places 2 players. I understand only seniors are eligible which explains Wastach Academy, but ICS had 3 seniors in the astarting line up who were on the all region team. Sounds politcal to me
How is Austin Bankowski from WX not on there.

Austin should be there, but he will prove it in college.
Unless he goes pro in baseball.
Austin, talk to you SDJH Geography teacher.
Before schools like ICS start complaining about which kids have been left off the team, why don't you ask your coach if he was a member of the coaches association at the time of the ballot. He wasn't. If he was, he would have been able to put all his seniors on the voting ballot, but since he wasn't a member, he didn't. This is the coaches association all-star game.
Bankowski isn't playing in the game because he will be in a baseball tournament in California.

I did not realize Coaches had to be part of the association to vote players on. I wonder if the Coach of South Sevier is part of this association (ProvoPistol24)? I didn't sense complaining from Gnzi1, however, you did validate his comment.
The South Sevier seniors are both baseball players as well....they could not attend the all-star game because of a conflict with baseball.
Coach Hunt is Coaching the 2A team so there is your representative, Monroe.
Re: Wasp
Wright from Juab may be fairly good, but Braxton Nielson from Union and McKay Murdock from Wasatch were the two best point guards in 3A. They probably decided they didn't need a third for this game.
Re: Hoops Fan Yes, there were three 1st and 2nd team point guards present. I don't know if Braxton is better than Shiramizu (Judge) but all three were there. How many point guards to you put on a team of ten Wasp?
Complainers: though called an all star game, this was a "senior" all star game Austin was a first choice but was traveling with his baseball team. If there were senior 1st or 2nd team all state kids from SS not playing, they too might have been participating in another sport. Mike Brown, for example, left a soccer game at half and showed up right before game time. So, please know the situation before complaining folks!

I think the vast majority would look differently at the lack of fairness in this HSbballfan. ICS had the same coach last year and no mention was made that he was not a member of the club. This year ICS is asked to leave the meeting and 3 of the 4 Region Players from 17 came from the bottom two teams. Reg. 17, like most of the regions this year in Single A, had a great disparity between the top 3 or 4 and the bottom 2 teams, yet only 1 player from the top team goes to the All-Star Game from among the top 4 teams! And putting 2 players from the same bottom team? You really think that was fair and right? Look at The South, all of the players deserved to be there while only half of the North teams were really recognized All-Stars and played like it yesterday. Yes, ICS should have had at least two spots, but what about Daniel Philpot and others from the top teams of the Region. I think it was Westridge who helped get the lone ICS player on the team.
Did all stars have to be seniors? Otherwise I would have expected Jaden Jackson, Jordan Loveridge, and Nick Emery to be playing for sure.
