Hurricane should be on these rankings.
Can't wait to see if they change the rankings next week with S. Summit beating Waterford or if they're just going to cut and paste again.
I think after a 7-0 loss to Rowland Hall the "cut and paste" method will have to go. Its pretty obvious that Rowland Hall, South Summit and Millard are head and shoulders above the rest at this point. Rowland Hall is a bit hard to figure because they have mainly played difficult teams. I think a region that is a bit unknown but will need to be watched is the new one with Liahona, St joseph, Wasatch Academy and Wendover. Any of those teams could be strong this year.
Here are my "non-cut&paste" top 5:
1-S. Summit: Big region wins against Rowland Hall and Waterford. Only loss to 5-1 Union.
2-Millard: Have played most games in 2A and only loss was OT at Parowan.
3-Rowland Hall: 2 tough preseason games, but handled Waterford 7-0 and lost in OT to my #1 S. Summit.
4-Wendover: Beat a 4A, 3A, & 2A (where's the 5A?). Not the strongest 4A and 3A teams though. Only loss to Union (see S. Summit above. About the same score too). As clyde said, could be a team to watch out for.
5-Grand: Wasn't sure who to put here. Nobody really stood out, so I went with Team Goal Differential and Grand was #3 behind Millard and Wendover. But, it was hard to type them in after a loss to 1-5 S. Sevier.
Well, there you have it. Now let's see what the DN comes up with.
