Mr. Rock,

I realize "Rock On" is sound bite stuff, but 2,000 fans may actually be pretty decent when you consider: 1) The game was televised and 2) It was played during several of the men's games, including BYU vs Gonzaga. I think the point was the fans who were there were devoted and it game the Utes more incentive. It showed during the game, which I watched, from the comfort of my home a thousand miles from SLC.

The Ute women's team put up a gutsy performance against one of the top squads in the nation in front of a lot of enthusiastic fans. What does Rock do, makes fun of it and runs it down with his petty remarks.

Perhaps he's just a little bitter about the Utes knocking BYU out of the NCAA tourney by beating them in the MWC title game.

Regardless, it's pretty darn disappointing to see him take out his frustrations on a group of student athletes who have every reason to be proud of their accomplishments.

How about something on the collapse of a once proud team-The Utah Jazz?
