Who comes up with these rankings? It looks like they are just cutting and pasting the 2A top 5 without looking at what games are even being played. Why is Rowland Hall still #5 with an 0-2 record? I'm not saying that they aren't good and won't be in the top 5 later, but why not put a team there that has actually won some games (Mt Vernon, Gunnison, and Parowan come to mind. Parowan even beat Millard who is ranked 4th).
Speaking of Millard, why are they still ranked 4th behind Grand? They beat Grand 4-1 last Thursday.
It's still early in the season and rankings will change. But why not let those teams that have actually done something get a little recognition for their efforts? It might be their only chance once region play really gets going.
(This wasn't supposed to be about who deserves to be in the top 5, even though it turned out that way. I was just curious if DN is really paying attention to 2A soccer or just came up with the top 5 early on and decided not to mess with it).
