What a joke our Blue was an underdog against a small WCC squad. BYU's the real deal and going all the way. We have the best player in the nation, and the support from the best fans in the whole universe will put the Cougs over the top.

The Blue's soon going to have another national championship banner to display proudly!

CC; Your entheusiasm is fantastic if it is real. Truth is that they could lose their next game and I would still call the season a resounding success. If Collinsworth and Davies were healthy and playing I would say that they have a chance at a NC. If they play like they did last night every game from now on they still might win it all, but teams that live by the 3 usually die by the 3 occasionally. It was truly a great TEAM win.

Cosmos cousin, you still hurting after another sub 500 year for your utes? Or is it the vegas bowl that still is a thorn in your side? It puts a smile on my face knowing that last night jimmer jimmered gonzaga and he also jimmered the many classy utes such as yourself. But hey, I heat gymnastics just beat byu again. Well done!

@Ted H.

I'm not sure why you come on here to go after other fans. My guess is you're the same poster that goes by "Hedgehog."

All I know is when I post you're always right there. You should not worry about my team and focus on the team you root for, whoever that may be.

I love the hateful attitudes that come on a rip the winners, the ones who are still playing, winning and advancing. This is all good for Utah, the old Mnt. West, the teams from the west and college ball as a whole yet some will find fault in that, what does your insides look like? what does hate look like? Can't be healthy, maybe even cause cancer and othe illnesses? Look real hard and you can find some positive and a reason to enjoy Jimmer and the cougs, even if for only two weeks.. This is what college sports is all about, it's all for the love of the game, unlike the pros... Just enjoy it, it's beautiful. Keep going BYU, we're along for the ride.

Yes Cosmo I will forever point out the childish and classless behavior of those bitter fans up north whose jealousy so consumes them that after their season ends(realistically months ago) they obsess about BYU.

It's ok. I think your program will improve in the PAC 12 and even as a die-hard BYU fan I think the U will compete very well in both football and basketball.

And during the down years for BYU(such as football this last year) I will never pretend to be from the other side and claim outlandish things just to paint the U as foolish. That is childish and classless.

There is not a single BYU fan alive who thinks "Jimmer is easily the best player in the country -- and I think you can include the NBA in that too." as you claim.

I hope the day will come when U kids can grow up, but I won't be holding my breath.

"All I know is when I post you're always right there. You should not worry about my team and focus on the team you root for, whoever that may be."

says the troll who is focusing on BYU instead of their own team whose season was over a while ago. U still have gymatics. Take your advice and go focus on the red rocks. They're good.

Size doesn't necessarily a victory make.

Just ask Utah and their "7' wall". Didn't guarantee them a winning season, did it? Didn't get them any wins over BYU, did it?

The only question in my mind was whether BYU would be able to handle the size disadvantage without the help of Brandon Davies. Abouo, Rogers, Anderson, Harsock...they all stepped up and made it happen. Jimmer may have been the leading scorer, but it was the other guys who gave BYU the half time lead. Jimmer just made it a blow out.

@Cosmo: You've been exposed. It's clear where your allegiance lies. Ted is right.

BYU's guard line ate up Gonzaga. They were quicker, smarter and could shoot waaaaaaay better. BYU's speed so clearly dominated, especially the second half. Emery was superb picking off passes and getting into a fast break. That was a ton of fun to watch. Oh yeah, Jimmer was pretty special too.

I think it's really classy of Dr. Hill to wait until after the NCAA tournement to hire Dave Rose.

He didn't need to wait but decided to help out the team down south yet again. This, coupled with the sympathy football game which allowed the tds atleast one BCS opponent in Provo is just another example of his well documented charity work.

Again, class.

Hedgie - Why are you and Chrissy so desperate to get Dave Rose to come to Utah (which he will never, never do) when you constantly rant about how pathetic BYU is? Aren't we being just a little hypocritical? When it comes down to it, you recognize that the football program only became successful after it started using the BYU model and hired former Cougars for most of the coaching staff. I don't blame you for being jealous of BYU's b-ball success and wanting to follow on their coattails there too but quit bashing BYU in one sentence and telling us how much you want our coach in the next. It makes you look even more ridiculous than you already look - if that's possible.

The only time Dave Rose goes to SLC is to give the Utes another beatdown!

What a great game! Easily one of the best so far this year. The Cougars have adapted well to losing Brandon D. and are capable of going far thanks to a great team, great coaches and the best player in the nation!

Hedge and Chris B want Rose so they can just be like BYU.

Let's see, they watch all of BYU's games, read and post on their stories, predict scores, and want BYU recruits and Rose.

Why not trade in the res red sweatshirt?

Trying so hard not to be the little brothers.

If they hate tds so bad, why do they want to become tds so bad?

It's spring. Time to emerge from that little troll hole in Michigan, get some sun, and climb out from under that bubble of delusion you've been living under all winter.

Rose is firmly entrenched has head coach of one of the top programs in the counry. He has zero interest in risking his coaching career trying to raise that failed program on the hill from the ashes.

If you're so desperate to get another BYU coach, you should try Roger Reid or Steve Cleveland.

There you have it. This team, shooting like this, can play with anyone, and maybe beat anyone. If bitten by the "cold shooting" bug, Jimmer MAY be able to carry the team through one more game.

Me, I'll just expect the best and enjoy it while it lasts. Each additional game is a gift.

Go cougs!!!! Never been more pleased to be one with you!

Hey, good point about going after Cleveland, mussingaround. He certainly IS available now, since he got fired by Fresno. The Utes certainly could do worse...like hire Roger Reid.

CougarOnTheProwl

As long as BYU has The Jimmer Factor and their role players shooting like they did last night they are capable of beating anyone. Aside from the SDSU game back in feb, that was the most impressive complete team win I have seen this season. On to the sweet 16, how sweet it is!!! Keep it up Cougars and good luck against Florida on Thursday!

That was a fun game to watch! Everyone seemed to be clicking. Congratulations to everyone on the team. Go Cougars!
