They will not go far without the rest of the team picking up slack when Jimmer gets tired. Need you guys bad down the stretch Rogers, Emery and the crew bring it.
Jimmer, I love you, really I do, but playing defense is not your forte :) Keep your guy in front of you the best you can and shoot the lights out, that's what we need from you during this tourament!
GO GO COUGARS!!
two and done
About Jimmer's defence, the worst thing for BYU is if Jimmer gets in foul trouble and has to come out of the game due to over aggressive defence. He and Rose know exactly what Jimmer needs to do on defence.
Does Jimmer ever get tired? I haven't seen it. You have to play hard on both ends of the floor to get tired.
Let me share a thought. For those of you who think you have played basketball, I wonder at the comments. We all know Jackson plays with great energy and intensity on the defensive side of the ball. He knows how to play defense. He knows the angles, the schemes, when to put pressure, when to intercept the pass. He is a very good shut down player. Jimmer is the same on the offensive side of the ball. His intensity and drive is so good that he feels the game. He feels the heartbeat. He understands the slightest disruption on the defensive player and is off with the shot or gone. A player with his abilities and court sense comes along once a generation. He can instantly analyze defensive pressure and defeat it. Coach Rose has utilized both of those talents to the best of their abilities to help win games. Jimmer's job isn't necessarily defense. He has made some good defensive plays but his job is on the offensive end. Every player on a successful team has to play their part to the best of their ability.

azdave; Better than none and done don't you think?
I am predicting 2 or 3 wins. Losing in round of 16 or 8. Hoping for more though.
BYU can beat nearly anyone if they are close to their season averages in all areas. They have also proven that they can beat some teams while playing below their normal season averages.
