What a jewel!! I can see a future of great productions because of the draw this facility will have on talented performers! May not be "world class" but it is CLASS.
An outdoor amphitheater? Sounds like the board of directors is biting off more than they can chew with this new building. They need to make sure what they already have is successful before they start adding on things like an outdoor stage. Don't get me wrong, it is a great building - but their "dream" of what the building is going to be might not realistically happen because they envision so much for it. On example is the black box theater. There is no date in sight for when it will be finished, even though people have been wanting to use it since the doors opened at CenterPoint. The improv group that used to be at Rogers would gladly make use of it if it is ever finished. Of course, it's not going to totally fail (it has taxpayer money funding it) but it is not going to take the place of Hale Center Theater and the Layton Kenley Amphitheater, which hosts summer concerts. And there won't be a rush of groups wanting use of their stage.
