Immigration laws call for fines, jail and deportation. Jail would cost Utah to much, but the fines should be taken and given to the legal Utah workers to pay them back for the work stolen from them.

If they are here just for jobs and not immigration, can they be called illegal immigrants?

Read the PEOPLE'S lips Mr. Archuleta. We want NO AMNESTY for illegals in this state. If they're here legally, great, they have nothing to fear. If they're here illegally, then they have overstayed their welcome and it's time for them to GO HOME, regardless of how many anchor babies they pop out.

The liberal media, the open borders crowd, the writers of the Utah compact or those like LA RAZA who are trying to feed us propaganda and tell us we want amnesty can whine all they want to, or call everyone racists, but the people will be heard on this. WE WILL ACCEPT NO AMNESTY. ARE YOU LAWMAKERS
LISTENING?

Well, again the politicians refuse to listen to the will of the people of this state. None of this is logical, humaniterian or good for the state of Utah and especially for our economy. The only thing it is good for is a group of people who have been and continue to break the laws of this state and country. I can't help but wonder where the money is coming from to support the lobbing effort and how much has gone under the table to bring some politicians in line on this.

The one bill out of the bunch that needs to pass is Herrod's bill. It at least attempts to go after employers of illegals, even though it has been gutted. Maybe that can start to put pressure on illegals, so they will leave the state.

As for the others, all they do is reward illegals and spit on the 100,000 unemployed Utahns. I really thought there were more employees in Utah than employers, but that only seems to be the impression on the Hill.

We need to create laws that give illegals no incentive to come to Utah. Let's create laws that stop them from having anchor babies. Let's create laws that prevent them and their children from getting free education and healthcare. I moved here from a socialist country, and all I see is more socialism. Let's take a look at healthcare for example. If you're illegal, the state (tax payer) will cover your medical bills, if the state doesn't then the hospitals will raise the cost of services and pass that on to the insurance companies, who then pass it on to the tax payer. So there you go, socialism. The tax payer pays for everyone else. Enough is enough. How about we raise taxes to pay for this. Let's start by doubling any tax politicians pay and see who's still willing to support illegals then. America once stood for something. Now all it seems to stand for is letting other people run all over it's LEGAL citizens.

We see who the true patriots are by watching who wants to give America away to lawbreakers.

A wise man once said.. "The greatest work you can do is within the walls of your own home" or something to that affect. The greatest work we can do as citizens is within the boundries of our own country. We have MANY homeless, poor, people without jobs on welfare because they cannot get a job. We need to take care of these people first.. then once we have that tackled then we will be healthy as a nation to help take care of other's poor. If we keep this up it won't be long till we are a third world coutry seeking help from others instead of being the one giving it. I had a son who work in a factory where 1/2 the workers were illeagal. Another son working in roofing where a lot were illeagals so don't tell me American's won't do these jobs cause that is a lie! Why do I have to pass for medical when the illeagals do not? Why do I have to pay for their food when I do not have enough to feed my own family? As a single parent they

The ACLU has already said that guest worker bills were illegal (there are already Federal guest worker visas).

An ACLU lawsuit is inevitable on all three.

Contact your representatives - google 'Utah Senate', go to site and the district maps section, enter your address and you will see who your reps are. Urge them to opppose any guest worker or amnesty bills, and to suppport enforcement only bills. I already did.
