The MN rumor was Bell for Flynn. Further, most of the players who are being traded did not play tonight so I suspect Bell is not going anywhere.

There is a lot of trade interest in AJ, Millsap and Favors. That is the new core of the team and I do not think the Jazz are going to trade any of them.

KOC said he is not moving Favors. He did say he is discussing more deals.

I am not sure what the Miller financial situation is like but it makes sense to try to mover under the lux tax.

Harris and Watson can't shoot so the Jazz REALLY need a wing who can shoot to go with them. If KOC does not fix that problem by the deadline, this year is toast.

If Hayward is not going to shoot then they need to cross train him as a PG.

I view this process as one that will take the rest of this year and next.

The Jazz could trade Harris for a shooting wing? Hayward would have to cross train real fast.

I do not think Harris is the answer at PG or much better than Watson.

I'd like to see the Jazz trade with the Pacers and get Granger. They are in Indy tommorow and I've heard Granger could be had.
I had heard the rumor with Minn. was with Flynn but I'm not interested in him and if Minn. was interested in Bell, I thought we could go for some outside shooting. I wouldn't care who it was if they could shoot.

Right now I'd love to see the Jazz get Jan Vesely, in the draft. 6'11, long, athletic 3 man.

Corbin is like SLoan II. 58 percent field goals, 10 3s. 5 in the 2nd quarter to turn the game around. I was laughed at wanting Peja, gee did not look too bad tonight did he?

You need shooters and athletic, long wings to win. I will always be a Deron fan. However, for 3 years I have ripped O Connor. At least he was proactive and made a move and get the #3 pick in the country who will help else in an area lacking.

21st century basketball is long, defending, quick deers. Favors is a comer, he did average 7.5 points and 5.5 boards in just 19 minutes and he is 6-10.

Harris is good enough to win with, he is having a career year in assists. He lifetime averages about 15 ppg. He would have been a World Champion if Dirk did not miss those foul shots in the Nba finals vs Miami.

He is not a great shooter. He will not drill 3s and bail Utah out of possessions. It will mean more touches for others. He is a good, sensitive kid and we need to welcome him here. He will feel pressure

3q good basketball and poor game management in last Q. Why the world Millsap and Al playing together. Hayward need D League experience he was running like headless (bad comparison) chicken disrupting play. He gets points but with what cost.Main reason Jazz loss is defense. Millsap got burned many times which is something new... and so on .
If it is post Sloan era so be it bring something new mainly game time management.

One thing I haven't seen people mention much is the AWESOME inside presence Favors will provide on defense. He is strong defender and rebounder. Lets hope he continues developing that offensive game.

Starting CJ has merit.

On the other hand CJ is not as good as Bell on defense when Bell is healthy. Further, CJ is hot and cold on shooting.

I think Corbin needs to play the SG spot by ear every night.

He wanted to see if Bell was really back and left him in. CJ was not hot tonight so why not leave Bell in. Bell tends to not shoot much unless he is shooting well.

The wings are a major problem for the Jazz.

AK has it together and is playing well right now. If DWill had added 22 points tonight it would have been a lot closer.

Lets see how Harris plays. He had one really good year with DAL. If he can get back to that form he is almost as good as DWill.

If not then his is above average.

KOC is still dealing. Lets see what tomorrow brings.

The Jazz are almost as unsettled as they were when Boozer, Korver and Mathews left.

However, I really like the core of AJ, Millsap and Favors. Sort out the wings and PG and the Jazz could be better than ever.

I espected Corbin to come back after the all star break and initiate some changes and what he did was come back and look even more like Sloan. I hope that is short lived.

I agree that we can not have AL and Paul starting together. I also agree that Bell is not playing well enough to be starting. I don't think that CJ is fast enough to be a 2 but he needs to be. The reason AK is still here is that he helps the team and next year you only have to pay him 3 mil. I think People love to use hind sight and call them selves experts. We need to look to the future and trust that the Jazz are going to make it okay. Corbin has not had enough time to fully use his system but he already has said he loves Jerry's style.

I don't want to jump on board the bandwagon and call Corbin a Jerry clone, but this quote sounded familiar: "They came out and made some shots against us and (it) seemed like we felt sorry for ourselves and dropped our head a little bit". Problem is, the quote is true and has been of this team for a while.

I personally like the trade and welcome the change. Devin Harris isn't the same type of PG, but some of his strengths are also Deron's weaknesses. Like defense. Maybe this will help some of the pick and roll defensive problems. They are now without a go to guy, which is kind of scary.

Now if Corbin is going to be a Jerry clone, i'm hoping for the type of team effort they showed the year Stock retired.

One more thought, this is the perfect time to take Karl Malone up on that offer to help out the organization. Favors could be a monster. Rumor has it that he has a strong work ethic, lets get Karl in to hone that work ethic.

Utah is not MN. You can clearly see a plan. The Jazz now have a formidable front court.

AJ busted out and Millsap did his usual 18/8. Favors is a welcome addition.

Next they will work on the wings. AK played well tonight and should do better since DWill tended to not get him the ball. AK can also play point forward and help Harris.

CJ is pretty much the player he is going to be but worth 3.7 mill.

Hayward needs to shoot and that might develop over the summer. He deserves another year.

Bell may get back on track.

A shooting SG is the biggest priority followed by improved defense.

With AK and Okur salary reductions next year, the Jazz can afford a much better bench.

An extra 15 mill or so buys a lot of bench.

The Jazz aren't a good team with or without D-Will. The last 25 games have been disaster and the trend shows no sign of changing.

They had no hope to beat Dallas tonight. None.

Remember Carlos Boozer? With Booze, the team had a chance to beat any team. Not now.

Weird that details about the first round picks being protected or not were not made public.

The real question for Jazz fans: Will NJ be much better with DWill? Those lottery picks better pan out big time and even if they do, it will be four years away.

So, is favors special? Hope so.

I think Harris and Favors are great addition to the team despite losing D-Will, for now we can still compete and finish at least the 6th seed..Favors can help the frontline which the team is having a problem because Memo has been in and out coz of injuries..Harris is not a bad point guard, he is a pesky defender and can defend more compare to D-Will..now that our frontline is much stronger than before, no offense to Bell but he has to score but up to now he is struggling, big time!..if we can get another shooting guard that can help the team spread the floor, the Jazz will be complete when that happens, right now that is a big hole in the team roster

I hope the NJ lottery pick isnt protected...we could deal harris for a wing...and grab Kyrie Irving at the draft as the starting PG...why not trade Harris and CJ for Tony Allen and OJ Mayo and probably a second round pick or two....Tony Allen gives you a good solid defender...if it went well...we could have a starting lineup of...Ante Tomic Al Jeff AK Mayo Irving...backed up by Favors Millsap Hayward Bell Watson...looks pretty solid to me...if we couldnt deal harris...we may have a shot at harrison barnes...as long as we the pick is not protected and is in the top 5...the trade would be a steal...

This is a D League team. What I would say at this point is that over the years, other than Stockton and Malone who basically started and finished their play with the Jazz, is that this franchise has been nothing but a training camp for players, and really, none of these players going through the revolving door in Utah have been premier players, integral to any other team's championship. And in the case of Deron, I guarantee you, he will never be a part of any championship unless he goes to a Miami, Los Angeles, or a Boston. The rest of these teams are just practice and foiles to what this league is all about....the major markets, i.e. New York, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Unless the oweners get some major concessions from the NBA Players Association, this practice will continue...have gun will travel.

Kakashi,Tomic is unproven in NBA,Irving is a good prospect, but by the time those two produced,AK would be 35 and done,I like your enthusiasm though,I still think we have a good core group, just need to add a dependable player at the 2 spot, don`t need an all-star,a Wes Matthews type

3 starting power forwards is silly. Having AJ playing out of position everynight hasn't helped. Milsap should have been the 6th man all season...AJ would have developed the picknroll offense just like boozer, he has a more consistant jumper then the booz and more range on his jump hook..the only thing boozer did better is finsih with his left hand, but AJ finishes much stronger and it's nice not to have to watch weak layups getting swatted 10 times a game...Bringing in Favors is a great move..but someone has to go...we can't stunt his development by burying him on the bench...sorry milsap but you are the odd man out...CJ and Milsap for Mathews!

No surprise Williams left. If he stayed he would always be blamed for forcing Sloan out, true or not. No suprise the Jazz loss to the Mavs. Dallas is undefeated against the top teams in the league (minus Chicago) when they are healthy.
I think it's time the Jazz finally change their mascot name. The only reason they kept it "Jazz" was because the owners did not think the team would last vey long in Utah. Well they have, and it's time to change to something that actually makes sense to the state of Utah.

Anonymous Infinity: You are always so negative, this team is better than you give them credit for and they are putting some good pieces together. They will end up OK.
I hope some kind of trade goes down today and that we can pick up some outside shooting, CJ, Bell and AK are so inconsistent it's frustrating.
In the draft I'd like to see us get Barnes, Jones (Kentucky) or Vesely. I don't see the Jones at Baylor being available.
There is going to be an adjustment period and that may cause us to miss the playoffs. If that happens we will have two lottery picks as we will keep our own,(it is lottery protected).
