FYI the message of the play "Wicked" is that something that is different shouldn't be labeled as wicked. Read the trashy novel the play is based on and written by a homosexual advocate and you'll see it.
The title ought to give you a clue. I thought the music was enjoyable and the performers talented, but the gay rights message is there, however subtle. Even the elect are being deceived into thinking this is family entertainment. Do you honestly believe he would turn his pornographic novel into g-rated family entertainment just for fun? NOOOOOO. He is cleverly telling even youngsters that it isn't right to call something wicked just b/c it is different. He's also written a book for children based on Snow White where he talks about the "evil Pope."
I bought the book in anticipation of seeing the play b/c it had been recommended. I threw the book in the garbage without even finishing it.

Your wording here implies that something that is different should, in fact, be labeled "wicked." And "different", of course, means homosexuality, and not, say, left-handedness or extremely low/high intelligence or asexuality or albinism. The book is trashy, but it's not because Maguire is a "homosexual advocate."

You clearly don't know much about the process of creating a musical. Maguire didn't turn the novel into anything - the musical was largely the product of Stephen Schwarz, Winnie Holzman, and many others.
And, fyi, not everything that is "different" should be labeled as wicked (homosexuality included.) It's a horrifying truth that I had hoped most adults would understand.
God has said homosexuality is wicked. Take it up with Him if you don't like it.
