Ty is the man... he'll be a great coach. and the possible addition of Jeff to the staff gives me confidence that the Jazz will be moving in the right direction.

You gotta have Malone be an assistant or something.
He said he'll do it...He's a no non-sense guy and would really work the Jazz hard.

I mean I've been dissapointed with Al Jefferson's poor conditioning, D-Will's whining, Mile's laziness to shoot that 3, and AK's fluff.

There's only 1 man on the Jazz who I respect right now and that is Milsap.

It's time you get in a real punk like Malone and whip these guys into NBA players.

Ty, you keep the coaching decisions, that will be best for the jazz.

And keep your son local, either BYU or Utah.

Karl said on ESPN he wants to start coaching and would like to coach in SLC. Can you imagine Karl coaching Fes?

I am pretty confident most fans know next to nothing at all about coaching and only a little more about professional basketball. Jeff was very popular and worked hard but is he a good coach? I don't know and I don't think any of these posters do either.

He might be a good person but that doesn't make him a good coach. I believe fans everywhere like to turn athletes and coaches into these idealized people. The image would be shattered in a day or two of real life exposure I suspect.

I could not agree with you more! I'll cheer all day every day for Millsap but the rest I don't really care about. Bunch of lazy whiners who think the world revolves around them. Malone told it like it is. Todays players are different and the NBA is not what it used to be.

Horney is a class act. He is the nicest and most genuine (former) professional athlete I've ever met. He'd be a good addition.
The Milkman is in a better position to be a head coach. He's been a full-time assistant for 7 years and his 16 years in the league as a journeyman backup probably prepared him more for coaching than being a star player would have.

I like the perfect world scenario of Karl coaching, but in reality, I think he'd be more of a hindrance than helpful on the team. I can see him trying to be tough just to be tough and making everyone mad. Last night during the game he said over and over "put his number on speed dial," and they aren't jumping to the opportunity. I think they have their reasons why. It would be great to get his toughness in there and help our bigs though, maybe do a part time thing like they were doing with Jeff?

I'm glad that it's all but official with Jeff, he'll be a great addition. I'd like to see him be the primary assistant and keep Layden on secondary with stats. Good move for the Jazz if this happens!
