I think the incredible fixation on porn actually promotes it.

I don't understand this logo...it looks like a porn promotion. Am I missing something?

I think this is awesome. I was leaning Packers today and now I'm for sure rooting for Ryan Pickett. Good for him.

I know for sure that porn runs rampant in professional locker rooms and club houses, so good for these guys for having the backbone to stand up for a position that probably isn't popular in their work place.

Perhaps we should defend a persons right to view porn. Stop worrying about what other people are viewing and use some personal responsibility.

It's great to see attention given to this growing problem. As described in the story, an encounter with pornography can occur without even trying to find it; it could be on a locker in a school gym, a Google search with a slight misspelling, or found by following one website linked to another, then another... Curiosity can quickly ensnare an unsuspecting adult or child. This is much different than an adult making a conscious choice to view pornographic media. If the companies that produce pornography can get a child interested early on, it translates into more revenue. And that is what it's all about. Sex sells.

'So what's the big deal?' 'People can watch porn.' 'Don't take my right away.' The big deal is when it is targeted to the innocent/unsuspecting. For example, seeing J.J.'s breast during a half time show; having pop-ups on your child's computer or phone. Pornography can take a variety of forms.

It is important to not only make people aware of the dangers of pornography but also have resources available to help individuals defend against and overcome it.

aren't at least half the commercials during the superbowl (and most football games) soft porn anyway? it really bugs me that sports are so tied up and tangled in pornography....that i can't sit and watch a great ball game with my kids without having to switch channels at every commercial break!

"aren't at least half the commercials during the superbowl (and most football games) soft porn anyway?"

no. not at all. there are rules for nudity on regular tv. what you think is "soft porn" is just some sexuality. you need to watch Cinemax at night if you want to see soft porn.

I for one find this article amusing, since last week an article was about how there was a shortage of strippers for the superbowl players... and how the players first stop in town that night was to strip joints...
