It might be nice to highlight some of the other players occasionally. I noticed Jackson Emery had an amazing shooting night tonight. Jimmer is awesome but he couldn't win the game by himself.
Was Dave Rose "classy" again? Did he pull Jimmer and then put him back in the game just to pile points on so the only decent player he has gets some recognition? The hype is ridiculous for a player destined for Europe and another 1st round tourney loss. Fire Boylen!
Jimmer and the whole BYU team is pure fun to watch. I had a pleasure to watch a few games courtside last year and I thought I was seing a very good team. This year I'm seeing a great team that is even more fun to watch. I watch college ball from all the confrences and I don't think anybody who knows anything about the game can dismiss BYU or SDSU. I'm a BYU fan and NOT a mormon and not from Utah. I just like good team basketball. Go BYU, I hope SDSU continues to win again after they loose to BYU. A fan of both schools but BYU first!
Ute fans comments are so on point. Lottery picks don't go to Europe.
Jimmer bette4r get over his fatigue if he is going to the NBA. Also, in the conference race and the tournament, he had better be on his game. That's when the good are separated from the great.
Yes, but his performance was still enough to get ESPN talk on SC, and they highlighted his crazy range, and ability to get to the hoop. TCU did at least try, unlike the team BYU played before.
Bad Poll Question! Jimmer already has and does lead the nation in scoring!!!
Those 35% voting NO need to watch/listen to ESPN/Wrubell
Good team effort, Jackson showed his senior leadship. It is funny that Jimmer scores 21 points and everyone is complaining about an off night. Jimmer has set the bar so high that 21 seems below average. Jimmer plays his best on the road when his team needs him the most. All of his huge games have been on the road. Arizona 49, Utah 47, TCU 45 (Thomas and Mack) UNLV 39. Jimmer has never had a huge game at the Y. He does not need to because the rest of his team feels comfortable in the Marriot center. It took a box and one with double and triple teams to hold Jimmer to 21 points. Look for Jimmer to go off this week at CSU!
I'm not surprised that Fredette didn't score as much last night. Why? Well, look at the games that he scored 30+ points at BYU. They are almost all away games. Why? I think that the team relies more heavily on him in a hostile environment, and he's able to step it up.
Jimmer didn't have a off night. Take 47 and 21 make it 34 points average on those two games. Not bad and he did find his 4 players double digit points.
He'll be ready at Moby next.
RE: Lottery picks don't go to Europe. I hope your kidding.
Jimmer scored 21 points on 17 shots - That is actually fairly good since he is doubled and tripled team so much. Add the 4 possession when he was fouled he still had 21 points for 21 possessions. That is pretty decent.
BYU wins offensively. All 5 starters scored more points than they took shots. Emery was best with 17 points with 8 shots. Compare that with TCU outside of Moss (who played great) their other 4 starters went 23 points on 30 shots. Add in the BYU rebounding and it easy to see how they beat teams.
Congrats on the win BYU, and the ranking #9! Congrats Jimmer on all the national love you are getting! It is well deserved and you are truly a spectacular player. Can't wait to see who drafts you, so I can continue to watch you for years to come.
Sorry Ute fans that the most you can do is try and belittle the superstar that is Jimmer Fredette. Wish you would accept his abilities, like I accepted Andre Miller, Keith Van Horn, Andrew Bogut, etc... who definitely had skills despite playing for the opposing team...
Good luck BYU, Jimmer and even Utah... May you all continue to have the success you earn and the respect you deserve...
Jimmer scoring a lot of points does not always equal wins. I'm pretty sure Kobe Bryant and LeBron James have proven that in the NBA.
Funny how the WORST team in the MWC has the first comment from a "fan" on an article about Jimmer. For heaven-sake, you got drilled by the U...in your own crib. Too funny.
Wish BYU and Utah State played more then once a year in basketball!

"Jimmer scoring a lot of points does not always equal wins."
Not always, but, pretty darn close:
BYU is 23-3 in games Jimmer scored 25+ points.
BYU is 11-1 in games Jimmer scored 30+ points.
The only game BYU has lost with Jimmer scoring 30+ points is at UNLV last year, 70-66, with Jimmer scoring 30 points.
If 21 is "quiet"? Then I'd hate to see a "loud" outing by Jimmer. Seriously, like, oh I dunno...47 points?
I personally would like to see how he would do in the NBA. He'd make a decent point guard. Maybe he'll end up with the Clippers or Wizards.
