The sad truth is, in politics words, even in written agreements, mean nothing. Only money matters.
John, great article!
In a world in which a single word or phrase from the the Chair of the Fed can send markets soaring or tumbling, in which a subtle comment from the President can move international stalemates to one side or the other, and in which countless pundits can influence public opinion by taking someone's words out of context, we have those who pretend their words are just powerless words.
Certainly not the kind of folks I want speaking when the world stops to listen to what our leadership has to say.
OK... Words matter... Moving on...
2 Nephi 10 :23 Therefore, cheer up your hears, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves-to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life. All the more important is how we spend our time and how we use our agency. Thank you Mr. Florez for your thoughtful words and encouragement to choose good behavior.
What an outstanding article!
