This article demonstates why many of the attacks on the Church that are lobbed by some people are disengenous. This especially goes for a recent aol news story that was reviewed by the Mormon Media Observer in a way that I think was far too assuming of good intent.
This message also counters the claims that the Church is all about making money and building ornate buildings that some through out when temples are built. Some of those attackers have in the same breath complained that temples are too uniform in look, that is to say the Church has not spent enough money on the architectural cost of temples.
That is just the classic in disengenous attacks, when the same person attacks the Church for spending both too much and too little money on the same thing.
