A tough year for Utah politicians? What about all those tough years the Utah politicians were NOT really representing the wishes of their constituents? This was a great year for us!

"emergency of the tea party movement?" Perhaps "emergence" of the tea party movement would have been a better turn of phrase. The tea party movement was no emergency. Indeed, it might eventually sink the Republican ship. If it becomes the driving force of the party, many will leave or become independents rather than affiliate with this group that thrives on emotion and fear tactics.

When pat1 comments on "emotion and fear tactics" it reminds me of what the Democrats tell the minorities in the south: "If the Republicans get voted in they'll take away your welfare checks".

Based on the way the liberal left is spending money we don't have on programs we don't need perhaps some emotion and fear tactics are appropriate.

And in other polls, President Obama leads over ALL potential Republican contenders.

Tough year on us because of our politicians.
Tough year on us because of all politicians.
Tough year on us because of the delusions people have in trusting our politicians and becoming dependant on them.
Both parties are to blame and those who support them. One party starts the fire and the other squirts lighter fluid into it.
Merry Christmas everybody,
and a Happy New Year as soon as we all wake up and take our freedoms back from these power hungry goats.

"... as soon as we all wake up and take our freedoms back from these power hungry goats."

What freedoms have we lost that we need to take back?
