He will be a bargain purchase by some team.

This last game though will help him. He looked good against the cards.

And He makes a lot of money and gets to play football!!!! But the "Haters" still have a mouth full of muck to spew. Bitter he beat you all?

Serious, the only "muck" that has been "spewed" was by you on your post.

    Face it.

Utes have a losing streak in basketball, football, and a weak QB in the pros.

    It is what it is.

    Living in the past firehawk?

But once again I ask you homers is he not responsible for any of his terrible play or is it all everyone elses fault?

No way can he be responsible huh dutchman? It just has to be everyone else.

I really love Duckhunter "guaranty" the 49ers will lose to Arizona.

One of the toughest things about Smith is the rotating offensive coordinators every season. It's like being a freshman every year.

And thus the 49ers guaranty themselves a season ending loss.

I really love all the ute fans claiming he never got a real shot, was hampered by all the other guys on the team, the coaches were terrible, blah, blah, blah.

So his terrible play has had nothing to do with him?

Seems like Alex has never had a really good shot by being contracted by the Niners throughout his career. The reality is the team does not allow for success right now. I hope he gets a shot elsewhere.

Well, a team is made up of more than just a quarterback. Smith has never had protection since he went to the 49ers, and their coaching situation has been a joke the whole time, along with the rest of the organization. I hope he gets a chance to play somewhere else when he can really do well. I think it was a mistake for the 49ers to invest so much money in just one player, even though he was a good player. They needed to put that money towards building the rest of the team. I think he's got a few more playing years in him, if he's able to find a good team to play with.

Still the best QB from the state of Utah currently in the NFL. Hopefully he latches on with another team and gets an opportunity.

What? A Smith THE #1 pick could never take his team to the playoffs (in the worst division in football)? "Playoffs? Playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs?"

And then he is gone for good.
