Too bad Chris Hill didn't stop longer than 10 seconds and think.
If Utah would have stayed, TCU and BYU would have stayed as well. Add in BSU and you have a much better conference than the Pac-10.
U fans are going to look back on that day and realize how good they could have had it.
Joe - I might have agreed with you if it weren't for the horrible TV contract the MWC has.
Joe, thank you for having the U's best interests in mind.
Or is it more wishful thinking that Utah had stayed because then BYU wouldn't have made the program-killing decision to go independent?
All Chris Hill had to do was look at the following facts:
1. $22M a year vs. $1.5M a year.
2. TV contract with stations people have actually heard of.
3. Road trips to places like LA and San Fran instead of Laramie and Albuquerque.
4. Relegation of BYU to permanent little brother status.
Frankly, 10 seconds was longer than I expected Hill to take in making that decision.
its never too late for BYU Utah BSU TCU ARIZONA, ASU from forming their own conference.....Just make sure they get a real Conference President this time~!
One more quote...After Stanford women beat UCONN womens basketball team and broke their longest ever winning streak, reporters interviewed the LOSING coach questions first, then the reporters asked the Stanford coach questions all about UCONN. Tara (the STANFORD coach) said "Tonight isn't about UCONN, it's about STANFORD!"
