Rock...you summed it up nicely. THE FORGOTTEN says it all...(LOL)...

Its time to move on. Wynn is not D1 material. To small and weak. For crying out loud he weighted 155 lbs in high school. To much weight for his frame. The coaching staff at Utah has done the entire team a disservice with the QB's they have recruited. For the most part of the season the receivers have been praying for a pass that was even close to catch let alone in the dirt or way over their heads. Take it to the bank....the players do not want girly boy Wynn back at QB
How about someone who can run when the play breaks down and can take a hit without the whole coaching staff holding their breath. Enough of the puny QB's .....bring on a man with guts and grit. Not "help me I've fallen down and can't get up".

It was quite obvious in the LV Bowl that when the receivers do get the ball in a catchable spot, they can't catch it anyway, so what is the worry.

Cheap shots at the Utes, Rick Majerus, and Jordan Wynn.

Is this what the DN means when they talk about promoting a civil dialogue?

Cheap shots?

Little sensitive all of a sudden, Mr. Howard?

I think the forgotten game line was "funny... because it's true..."

Each time I read "Rock" if have found most if his comments are more anti-ute than anything else. Comments from BYU fans posting have requested, even demanded civil dialog between the schools. Rock seems to have forgotten. I do not recall such comments when BYU was loosing midway through the season. Rock is a true blue BYU homer! I will not worry however, since reading Rock articles are now a thing of the past for me!

"How dare Rock poke fun at our awful basketball team, fragile quarterback and football team that just got embarrassed? How uncivil!"

Utes, let me share a lesson BYU fans learned during the Crowton years and Roger Reid years... Don't take everything so seriously. If you don't take a step back and laugh once in a while, it's going to cause some serious problems. You really need to learn this lesson as soon as possible, PAC 10 mediocrity is just around the corner!

Don't you think about now Riley Nelson wishes he would have stayed at USU? I know alot of us USU fans wish he would of. Of course hind sight is always 20-20.

ute fans have congenital absence of a sense of humor. Too bad, they needed it to finish football and get through basketball.

Rock is just doing the biweekly cheap shot column and I am sure he knows it. If Ute fans (and I am one) think they are taking more than there share then they can always look at the numbers.

10-3 in Football and we are supposed to be embarrassed? Seems like 7-6 is worse.

While Utah Basketball IS a disaster zone by our own standards it is hardly a 1-25 disaster that BYU fans seem to have blotted out of their memory.

Utah IS going to the Pac-12, BYU IS going to the WCC and somehow Utah fans are supposed to be scared of the future?

If the slow but steady fact of Utah Athletics passing BYU Athletics makes Utah a more popular target for the biweekly cheap-shot column I guess I for one will take that with the territory.

The fact ute fans feel the need to recite their resume in an attempt to respond to a humor column is absolutely hilarious LOL

Poor picked on little brothers LOL That inferiority complex hangs over your heads like a 50 ton weight. LOL

why slam the U here?

Johnny Ace; we may have been embarrased in 3 games but, stil won the other 10, including a 17-16 game with a beautiful ending. so, laugh it up, funny boy.

Basketball, Utah has the same record in Basketball as BYU finished with, they are both at 7-6. You can talk all you want about 1-25 that was a horable season. Now which team do fans think will have the better season next year in both football and basketball. Be honest :) It is easy to forget the past when the future looks so bright.

"If the slow but steady fact of Utah Athletics passing BYU Athletics..." blah, blah, blah

Passing BYU athletics?

BYU(12-1) #16/#16, RPI #5
Utah(7-6) unranked, RPI #176

So much for slowly passing BYU.

Keep dreaming. That "magical" 1-25 season may come as early as next year for the Utes.

Duckhunter you're too funny and a classic example of a BYU little brother. You are the definition (you and your team) of a little brother. Write back when your teams actually do something in the post season worth noting (1984 and 1981 don't really cut it in big boy world).

Swoop

Do something, as in getting humiliated on national television three times in the same season?

The problem with our little brothers on the hill is their best has literally never been better than 2nd best -- except of course for women's gymnastics.

Go Red Rocks!

Write back when U have one of those Crystal Football National Championship trophies in your trophy case. After almost 120 years of football, the closest the Utes have come to a Crystal Football trophy is the one sitting in a trophy case about 45 miles south of the U.

Come see it see time. It might be your only chance to see one in person.

Duckhunter
American Fork, UT

Hey good point rock of the marne LOL the National Championship doesn't really count for anything LOL Of course utah will never win one so you have to try and down play it to be meaningless. Meanwhile simply playing in a bowl game like the fiesta bowl or sugar bowl means much more than an actual National Championship.

uta fans, amusing the rest of us for 26 years LOL

Rock Of The Marne

So right Duckhunter 2 undefeated seasons in the last 6 years does mean much more than one 26 years ago. Plus 2008 Utah beat 4 final AP top 25 teams (2 in the top 10) vs. no final top 25 teams for 1984 BYU. I think most sane people would view Utah's accomplishments (including spanking Alabama vs. barely beating a 6-6 team as much more impressive though I will give you that BYU was very lucky to get the supposed NC.
