Wes is awesome!
The Jazz have done so well without Okur. I'm worried about how it will go with him back.
Let's see Wes go for 30 but the Jazz win by 10.
Wes is a true professional! I wish him the best...I hope we can get him back in 5 years.
All the wishful thinking is great but it still will get you nowhere right now. For now may Memo get a good workout tonight. How cares if he scores, rebounds or gets an assist.May he just run with the second unit and foul hard.Because that's all we should expect from him.
The authorial dig in there about overpaying Matthews is out of line.
Have you been following his play with the Blazers? Not only has he played himself into the starting lineup, but with Roy out, hes been their leading scorer on a number of occasions and has scored 30 on at least one occasion. Plus he guards the opponents best offensive player.
Overpay, what are you nuts? The Jazz shouldve bitten the bullet and paid for him. Unless something unforeseen happens, like an injury, the Jazz are going to continue to regret that they didnt overpay Matthews. I even heard from a source close to Jerry that he was not happy with the decision not to match for Matthews.
If overpaying is 5.7M for 20 points a game since being in the starting lineup then what are the jazz doing paying 17.8M for AK's 11pts, 13M for Al's 16pt, 7.6M for Millsap's 18, and 15M for D Will's 22pts? Oh and btw the person who has replaced Wes in the lineup Raja is a outstanding 8pts a game for 3M. I would overpay for Wes any day when you consider his upside and work ethic. Bad miss by the Jazz not matching.
AK's over paid. AK's contract cost us a lot. We could have three for the price of one. I hope the Jazz can get a 2 guard to help our shooting woes and perimeter play. Cant wait to see the Money -man tonight. Keep working hard, GO JAZZ!
