I don't know about this being "the next best game to the championship game", but here is hoping, from one Cougar fan to the Utes, that the Utes pull out the win.
It will be a tough game, especially since Cain hasn't played most of the season. However, that could be to the Utes advantage as well, since there won't be a lot of film footage for the Broncos to study on him for this season.
Good luck Utes!
Utah 34
Boise 24
one thing that gives us a lot of hope is how poorly BSU played in last year´s bowl. TCU obviously played just a little worse, but it was not a pretty game at all.
The Utes have a decent chance of winning this one despite BSU being the better team over the course of this season. All that matters is who is the better team tomorrow.
Go Utes!
Not only does BSU need to regroup from the Nevada loss, they need to regroup from the poor bowl performance last year (That was one ugly game for the second year in a row).
Utah wins in a tight one.
Utah 40
Boise St 38
wookie,
Do you think boise needs to regroup from how poorly they played in their bowl game last year? I bet if you tell us three times in 4 minutes instead of just twice in 4 minutes you will get your point across.
All signs point to a Boise blowout.
Methinks I hear Ute fans whistling while walking past the graveyard.
Since predictions seem to be the theme of these comments....why not....
Boise to cover...say....uhmmmm... 52-24
oh, and Chris B...go ahead...I give you permission to mark it down! If Utah wins will they be NC2010?
Boise State's kicker= 6 million dollar man.
Thats how much he cost Boise with those 2 missed field-goals.
I think Boise St. will win this one easily. They are a MUCH better team than pretty much everybody on Utah's schedule, other than TCU.
And for those talking about how "ugly" the bowl game for BSU and TCU was last season? Maybe that's what you get when you have two very good defenses going at it. And BSU's 2010 D is no slouch either. Look for Terrance Cain to throw at least two picks and take a bunch of hard hits as well.
To all the Utah haters or "BYU fans". I know many of you would love to see Utah lose this game. Just so people like sammyg and veritas aeguitas can spew their usual negativity and hatred towards the Utes. But just remember, Utah losing this game only makes BYU look worse. Hopefully the Utes come out fast and strong like they did against Alabama. Go Utes!
Are win was way better. Lots of people were saying UTEP was one of the best teams by the end of the year so us beating them was huge.
@wallbanger
Hilarious, dude!
Do you really believe any BYU fan cares how a Boise blowout makes BYU look? Are you serious?
BYU played UTEP in the New Mexico Bowl and finished 7-6.

Utah survived a game in which they scored only in the fourth quarter against one of the worst BYU teams in a decade.

Again, that is hilarious.
