Is RSL's rank based on attendance numbers or income? Although they probably
fall way down the list in both areas. It's definitely not a knock on RSL. It
just shows how many club teams there are in the world with good
attendance/profit numbers.Their rank isn't that bad for a team that
didn't exist 6 years ago.
it's amazing that Real Salt Lake gets such high attendance considering they play
no name teams and are the 250th best team in the world. I don't mean that as an
insult it's more of a compliment to soccer.
RE: coachcarterRock, why bash on Utah State? You're a sportswriter
in Utah, instead of bashing our local schools, why not be a little more positive
and promote college football throughout the state?Regarding the BYU
victory: A win is a win. If you're going to bash the Ags for winning,
regardless of who it's against or what their record is, then what is your
preferred alternative?Admittedly, the USU program has a long way to
go. But anyone can dwell on the negative. I'm confident in our chances to
improve under Gary Andersen. With all of the challenges we face, we'll take any
D1 victory, learn from it, and advance. Go Aggies.
md, utah is 10-2, suu won the great west conference, snow college
beat njcaa #6 in the top of the mountain bowl, byu has turned a 1-4 into a 6-6
season, dixie struggled, utah state was up and down, weber was ok as well.you sir need to be a little more informed.
None of the teams in this state are very impressive this year.
Rock, why bash on Utah State? You're a sportswriter in Utah, instead of bashing
our local schools, why not be a little more positive and promote college
football throughout the state?Once again, you failed with this one.
Where is DaveFromTaylorsville??? He sure did get quiet after that beatdown in
Hey Chuck Norris,No matter how you look at it, the BYU win was a
good one for USU. ND rushed the field after beating Utah, which turned out to be
an overrated team at the time. There have been bigger wins in South Bend, but it
was a win that meant a lot to a struggling ND program. And about
rushing the field...I was at a BYU/USU in Provo in 1997. BYU was ranked #24 at
the time, USU, of course, unranked, with a 2-2 record. BYU wins and the students
rush the field. Of all the times I've seen students rush the field, that is the
one time that just made no sense at all.
@ chucknorris, I swear I saw the Utes rush the field after they beat BYU this
The comment is inaccurate and mean spirit (my original attempt at a post had a
banned word here). USU is ranked 84th out of the 120 D1(FBS) teams. If one
includes all 730 college football teams in the USA then USU falls to 97th.
Aggie fans seem to be sensitive today. I am sure the Rock Monster is not a BYU
fan, but the fact that the Aggies beat a struggling BYU team and then could not
find another victory against another mediocre team does support his remark. I
do believe Coach Andersen is the right man to bring the Aggies back.
Hey Aggies,You rushed the field after you beat a 1-4 BYU team...That's pretty pathetic, and I'm not even a BYU fan. Brad Rock is
perfectly correct. Now quit being such babies and continue to be irrelevant.
Your snide remarks about our Aggies are unbecoming and at the end of the
day...scoreboard! Can't wait to beat the kittens in Provo next year.
TWO Things:1) 31-162) DOUBLE Irony is that is EXACTLY
where you rank in Utah Sports Journalists!!!!WHat are the ODDS!!!Go Aggies!!!!
